Southridge High School is a public high school in Beaverton, Oregon, United States. The school currently offers the International Baccalaureate program, and some Advanced Placement courses. Southridge was one of the projects paid for by the $146 million bond approved in 1996. The school opened to 9-11th grades in 1999 with an initial enrollment of 1,236, grade 12 was added the following year. Sarah Boly was the school's first principal. Beaverton, Oregon
Beaverton is a city in Washington County, in the U.S. state of Oregon with a small portion bordering Portland in the Tualatin Valley. The city is among the main cities that make up the Portland metropolitan area. Its population was 97,494 at the 2020 census, making it the second-largest city in the county and the seventh-largest city in Oregon. Beaverton is an economic center for Washington County along with neighboring Hillsboro. It is home to the world headquarters of Nike, Inc., although it sits outside of city limits on unincorporated county land. Darwin Barney
Darwin James Kunane Barney (born November 8, 1985) is an American former professional baseball infielder and current coach. He played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Chicago Cubs, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Toronto Blue Jays. As a member of the Cubs in 2012, he won both the Rawlings Gold Glove Award and the Fielding Bible Award in recognition of his defensive skills at second base. Behdad Sami
Behdad Sami (born June 20, 1986) is an Iranian American professional basketball player. Behdad was the world's first Iranian basketball player to play professionally at any level in the United States when he played in the minor-league American Basketball Association in 2007. In October 2010, he became the first Iranian to play pro basketball in Portugal. High School and College Behdad graduated from Southridge High School in 2005. Jeron Scott Mastrud (born December 17, 1987) is a former American football tight end of the National Football League (NFL). He was signed by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent in 2010. He played college football at Kansas State. Chad Randall Barrett (born April 30, 1985) is an American former professional soccer player who played as a forward. Career College Born in San Diego, Barrett played two seasons of college soccer at UCLA and led the team in assists his second year.
