Orathanadu
Orathanad (or Mukthambalpuram; sometimes Orathanadu) is a town in Thanjavur district of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. It is recognised as a Town Panchayat. It is located at a distance of 33 km from Thanjavur and 35 km from Pattukkottai. The town is surrounded by vast agricultural lands. Geography and climate Orathanadu has an average elevation of and lies on the south bank of the Kaveri River, south of Chennai. On 27 November 2008 Orathanadu broke the 65-year-old record for the highest rainfall in 24 hours in Tamil Nadu, registering and exceeding the registered by Cuddalore on 18 May 1943. However, Orathanadu lost the rainfall record to Kethi in the Nilgiris district after the town recorded of rain in 24 hours during early November 2009. . Thanjavur (), also Tanjore, Pletcher 2010, p. 195 is a city in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Thanjavur is the 11th biggest city in Tamil Nadu. Census Of India
The decennial Census of India has been conducted 16 times, as of 2021. While it has been undertaken every 10 years, beginning in 1872 under British Viceroy Lord Mayo, the first complete census was taken in 1881. Post 1949, it has been conducted by the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. All the censuses since 1951 were conducted under the 1948 Census of India Act. The last census was held in 2011, whilst the next was to be held in 2021. The Nilgiris district () is one of the 38 districts in the southern Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Nilgiri ( en, Blue Mountains) is the name given to a range of mountains spread across the borders among the states of Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and Kerala. Kethi
Ketti also called Ketti Valley is a small town nestled in a large valley of the same name. It is located in The Nilgiris District of Tamil Nadu State, South India and is a Revenue Village of Coonoor Taluk. Upper Ketti is another village called Yellanahalli, which is located on the main Coonoor to Ooty road. Cuddalore
Cuddalore, also spelt as Kadalur (), is the city and headquarters of the Cuddalore District in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. Situated south of Chennai, Cuddalore was an important port during the British Raj. Kaveri River
The Kaveri (also known as Cauvery, the anglicized name) is one of the major Indian rivers flowing through the states of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Pattukkottai () is a major town in Thanjavur district in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu and also important town in Delta districts and Commercial town of Thanjavur, Thiruvarur and Pudukkottai district Coastal areas.
