Om-Dar-B-Dar
''Om Dar-B-Dar'' (Hindi: ओम-दर-ब-दर) is a 1988 Indian Hindi-language postmodernist film directed by Kamal Swaroop and starring Anita Kanwar, Aditya Lakhia and Gopi Desai. The film, about the adventures of a school boy named Om along with his family, is set in Ajmer and Pushkar in Rajasthan, and employs nonlinear narrative and an absurdist story line to satirise mythology, arts, politics and philosophy. The film won the Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie in 1989. It was never commercially released in India, though it achieved success in International Film Festivals, including Berlin where it premiered, and it soon became a cult film. In 2013, National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC) had planned an official national release of a digitally restored print of the film. Lalit Tiwari is an Indian film and television actor. His best-known television roles are that of Sanjaya in the series ''Mahabharat'' (1988–1990), and the one in the historical television series ''Bharat Ek Khoj - The Discovery of India'' (1988). The restored version of ''Om-Dar-Ba-Dar'' was released on 17 January 2014. Filmography Directing Kamal Swaroop is an Indian screenwriter and director of film, television and radio. He is best known for his roles on ''Om-Dar-Ba-Dar'' (1988) and ''Rangbhoomi'', for which he has received several awards. Early life Swaroop was born in Kashmir. His father was a teacher and palmist; his mother was a homemaker. The family moved to Ajmer in the Rajasthan state, where he studied Biology, before moving to Pune in the Maharashtra state, where he studied film directing. She is a 2-time National Award-winning Indian film producer, writer, director and editor who works predominantly in Hindi and Tamil cinema. Anurag Kashyap
Anurag Kashyap (born 10 September 1972) is an Indian filmmaker and actor known for his works in Hindi cinema. He is the recipient of several accolades, including four Filmfare Awards. For his contributions to film, the Government of France awarded him the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (Knight of the Order of Arts and letters) in 2013. Imtiaz Ali (born 16 June 1971) is an Indian film director, producer, actor and writer who works in Hindi cinema. Amrit Gangar is an Indian film scholar, historian, critic, curator and writer from Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. He worked as consultant content developer for the National Museum of Indian Cinema set up by the National Council of Science Museums in Mumbai.
