Château De Comper
The Château de Comper is a former castle located in Paimpont forest (formerly known as Brocéliande), three kilometers to the east of the village of Concoret in the department of Morbihan in the region of Brittany, France. It has been rebuilt as a château. The name Comper, like Quimper, probably comes from the Breton word ''kemper'', which means confluence. It is surrounded by several streams and lakes. History and structure The castle was originally square, with towers at each of the four corners, linked by strong curtain walls. At the main door was a drawbridge. The first owner of Comper is sometimes said to have been Salomon, King of Brittany in the 9th century. The castle is first recorded history associated with the Baron Raoul de Gaël-Monfort (Ralph de Gael), who was a companion of William of Normandy during the 11th century Norman conquest of England. During the 13th century, Comper was considered one of the strongest castles in Brittany. For this reason, it has be ...

Black Moon Chronicles
The ''Black Moon Chronicles'' (french: Chroniques de la Lune Noire) is an epic dark fantasy French comic series. Publication history Written by François Marcela-Froideval, the ''Black Moon Chronicles'' is an epic story offset by liberal doses of irreverent humour and the use of colloquial modern French over the archaic language usually found in such stories. The series first episode was published in the late 80s. Following its long-lasting success in France, spin-off series were created to give more details on the background of some key characters. Episode 5 was the last volume drawn by Olivier Ledroit, who was replaced by Cyril Pontet for the rest of the series. Ledroit was still kept on drawing the remaining album covers. The 14th and final album of the first cycle was released on 21 November 2008. Key characters * Wismerhill (from "Whispers Hill") - The main character, half-dark elven, with an unknown past and an extraordinary destiny. Formerly a nameless elf, his name was ...

Eagle Award (comics)
The Eagle Awards were a series of awards for comic book titles and creators. They were awarded by UK fans voting for work produced during the previous year. Named after the UK's ''Eagle'' comic, they were launched in 1977 for comics released in 1976. Burton, Richard "'The Eagles' are launched!" in Burton (ed.) ''Comic Media News'' #30 (Mar-Apr 1977), p. 11 " t up and financed by a group of dealers and fanzine editors" with the intention of including "people with... diverse interests... to make the poll as impartial as possible," the Eagles were described as "the first independent n the UK nationally organised comic art awards poll." The hope was that the Eagle Awards would "become a regular annual fandom event," and indeed, they were the preeminent British comics award in the 1980s and the 2000s (being mostly dormant in the 1990s), variously described as the country's comics equivalent of the Oscars or the BAFTAs. The Eagle Awards were usually presented in a ceremony at a British ...

Comic Book Artist
A cartoonist is a visual artist who specializes in both drawing and writing cartoons (individual images) or comics (sequential images). Cartoonists differ from comics writers or comic book illustrators in that they produce both the literary and graphic components of the work as part of their practice. Cartoonists may work in a variety of formats, including booklets, comic strips, comic books, editorial cartoons, graphic novels, manuals, gag cartoons, storyboards, posters, shirts, books, advertisements, greeting cards, magazines, newspapers, webcomics, and video game packaging. Terminology Cartoonists may also be denoted by terms such as comics artist, comic book artist, graphic novel artist or graphic novelist. Ambiguity may arise because "comic book artist" may also refer to the person who only illustrates the comic, and "graphic novelist" may also refer to the person who only writes the script.
