Olivia Hime
Olivia Hime (born June 25, 1943) is a Brazilian singer and lyricist. She is also the co-owner and musical manager of the record label Biscoito Fino. In 2005, the song ''Cancao Transparente'', composed by Hime and her husband, pianist and composer Francis Hime, was nominated for a Latin Grammy for Best Brazilian Song. Early life and education Hime was a student of the Santa Úrsula. Career Home composed give songs on her husband's first LP, produced by Dori Caymmi. The compositions were created in partnership with her husband. Together, they run their own compositions ''A Tarde'' and ''Almamúsica''. Personal life Hime is married to composer Francis Hime. He left his engineering career to become a musician and was inspired by Vinícius de Moraes. The couple has three daughters: Luiza, Joana and Maria. Dorival "Dori" Tostes Caymmi (born 26 August 1943) is a Brazilian singer, songwriter, guitarist, arranger, and producer. Biography Caymmi was born in Rio de Janeiro to parents who were musicians, his father Dorival Caymmi a composer and his mother Stella Maris a singer. When he was eight, he started piano lessons. At the Conservatório Lorenzo Fernandez, he studied music theory and harmony. He became a professional musician in 1959 when he accompanied his sister Nana in a performance. During the next year, he became a member of Grupo dos Sete and composed music for TV. He directed the play ''Opinião'' and performed on violão for it in 1964, contributing to the growth of música popular brasileira ( MPB). He worked as a producer for Eumir Deodato, Edu Lobo, and Nara Leão and as a composer with Nelson Motta. He and Motta were an effective songwriting duo. Marcus Vinícius da Cruz e Mello Moraes (19 October 1913 – 9 July 1980), better known as Vinícius de Moraes () and nicknamed O Poetinha ("The little poet"), was a Brazilian poet, diplomat, lyricist, essayist, musician, singer, and playwright.
