Olga Flor
Olga Flor (born 1968) is an Austrian writer. Life Flor was born in Vienna. She grew up in Vienna, Cologne and Graz and completed her ''Matura'' at Akademisches Gymnasium Graz. Flor studied physics and history at the University of Graz. From 1997 to 1999, Flor stayed in Modena. The monologue ''Fleischgerichte'' premiered in 2004 at the Graz theater. She has worked for multimedia enterprises, written several books and received literary awards like the Anton Wildgans Prize in 2013. She's a member of the Grazer Autorenversammlung. Grazer Autorenversammlung
The Grazer Autorinnen Autorenversammlung (GAV) was founded under the name of ''Grazer Autorenversammlung'' in March 1973 and is one of the two major Austrian writers' association (besides the Austrian PEN). H. C. Artmann was its first president. Other writers who contributed to the foundation of the association, were Friedrich Achleitner, Wolfgang Bauer, Georg Bydlinski, Barbara Frischmuth, Peter Handke, Ernst Jandl, Alfred Kolleritsch, Friederike Mayröcker, Reinhard Priessnitz, Peter Rosei, Gerhard Roth, Gerhard Rühm, Michael Scharang, and Oswald Wiener. In the beginning, the GAV was located in Graz, but in 1975 its secretariat moved to Vienna, which also now became the location for meetings of its executive committee. ''Der Standard'' is an Austrian daily newspaper published in Vienna. History and profile ''Der Standard'' was founded by Oscar Bronner as a financial newspaper and published its first edition on 19 October 1988. German media company Axel Springer acquired a stake in the paper in 1988 and sold it in 1995. Bronner remains the paper's publisher, Martin Kotynek is editor-in-chief. The Anton Wildgans Prize of Austrian Industry is a literary award that was endowed in 1962 by the Federation of Austrian Industry. The University of Graz (german: link=no, Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz, ), located in Graz, Austria, is the largest and oldest university in Styria, as well as the second-largest and second-oldest university in Austria. History The university was founded in 1585 by Archduke Charles II of Austria. The bull of 1 January 1586, published on 15 April 1586, was approved by Pope Sixtus V. For most of its existence it was controlled by the Catholic Church, and was closed in 1782 by Emperor Joseph II in an attempt to gain state control over educational institutions.
