''Oddworld Adventures 2'' is a Game Boy Color platform game developed by Saffire and published by GT Interactive in 2000. It is a spin-off off the ''Oddworld'' series based upon the title '' Oddworld: Abe's Exoddus'', released in 1998. Gameplay Described as an "action-puzzle platformer", ''Oddworld Adventures 2'' features a similar plot to '' Abe's Exoddus'' in which the titular character Abe journeys to Necrum to stop Glukkons from desecrating the graves of the Mudokon race. The game requires the player to traverse through 24 levels, with basic platforming mechanics such as running, sneaking, jumping and climbing. The game also features a puzzle system in which the player is required to possess other creatures or issue instructions using commands to complete actions such as open doors or use switches. Saffire (company)
Saffire was an American video game developer based in South Jordan, Utah. Founded as Cygnus Multimedia Productions in 1993 by Les Pardew and Charles Moore, it was originally based in Pardew's basement in Orem, Utah, Orem with a team of six people. Pardew bought out Moore's share in 1994 and involved Hal Rushton as a partner in Moore's place. Cygnus was renamed Saffire in October 1995 and moved from Pleasant Grove, Utah, Pleasant Grove to American Fork, Utah, American Fork shortly thereafter for further expansion. Saffire became defunct in 2007. History Saffire was founded by Leslie W. ("Les") Pardew with assistance by Charles Moore in 1993. The game port is a device port that was found on IBM PC compatible and other computer systems throughout the 1980s and 1990s. It was the traditional connector for joystick input, and occasionally MIDI devices, until made obsolete by USB in the late 1990s.
