Oceana (band)
Polyenso is an American experimental rock band based in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States. The band is composed of lead vocalist and keyboardist Brennan Taulbee, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist Alexander Schultz, and percussionist Denny Agosto. The band's members were all at one point in American post-hardcore band Oceana, but moved to lighter, more uplifting music under the name Polyenso in 2012. Their sound is a blend of indie rock, electronic, folk, jazz, and hip-hop. They released their debut album, ''One Big Particular Loop'', on January 22, 2013. On October 16, 2015, the band released ''EP1'' featuring four tracks from their upcoming second album, ''Pure in the Plastic''. The album, released on April 1, 2016, featured a more pop-inspired sound, without the trumpet playing of their debut album. Corona Theatre
The Corona Theatre (french: Théâtre Corona), in Montreal, Quebec, Canada is located at 2490 Notre-Dame Street West in the Little Burgundy neighbourhood of the borough of Le Sud-Ouest. It is one of several vintage movie theatres in Montreal whose façade and interior have retained their original appearance. It is mostly used for musical performances and live events. History The theatre was built in 1912 for silent film. Originally known as the Family Theatre, it was designed by architects Joseph-Cajetan Dufort and Louis-Joseph-Théophile Décary for the Duchess Amusement Company; which owned the theatre until 1923, when it was sold to the United Amusements Corporation. Birth
Birth is the act or process of bearing or bringing forth offspring, also referred to in technical contexts as parturition. In mammals, the process is initiated by hormones which cause the muscular walls of the uterus to contract, expelling the fetus at a developmental stage when it is ready to feed and breathe. In some species the offspring is precocial and can move around almost immediately after birth but in others it is altricial and completely dependent on parenting. Sleepwave
Sleepwave is a rock band based out of St. Petersburg, Florida. It was founded in 2013 by vocalist Spencer Chamberlain after the dissolution of Underoath. Chamberlain brought in longtime friend Stephen Bowman, and the band signed with Epitaph Records. Shortly after, the duo announced their debut album, ''Broken Compass''. Their song, "Through the Looking Glass", peaked at number 37 on the ''Billboard'' Mainstream Rock chart following its release in July 2014. History Underoath announced their plans to disband during the fall of 2012. Chamberlain said of the disbanding, "It's sad to say that we feel like it's time to close this chapter, but we have never seen things more clearly. Clean Head
''Clean Head'' is Oceana's first EP, and a follow-up to their second release ''Birth.Eater''. The album was written with the intent of being the B-sides to ''Birth.Eater'' and covers similar topics. The record focuses primarily around the idea of finding beauty in life through whatever way you see fit. This album shows a vast sound change and maturity of the band as a whole and was very well received by fans and critics. Clean Head will be released as a Hot Topic exclusive, and on various online distribution services. This new EP has a total of four songs. The album was released on May 11, 2010. "Birth.Eater" will also be re-released by Distort Entertainment, with the four new EP tracks. This is also the last release to feature guitarist Jack Burns as well as the last under the "Oceana" name. Reception Clean Head has been incredibly well received by reviewers and fans alike. This Time Next Year was an American pop punk band formed in Walnut Creek, California They released three EPs and two full-length albums. History Early releases and debut album (2006–10) This Time Next Year was a pop-punk band from Walnut Creek, California. They lasted for about six years from December 30, 2006 until December 7, 2012, where they played their final show at Chain Reaction in Anaheim, CA. The band released their debut and only album ''As If Everything Was Held in Place'' on March 3, 2009, on Rise Records. As stated on their Alternative Press podcast, their name originates from a Denver Post newspaper headline about the 2002 Hayman fire titled "The Fear Before The March of Flames." The Sleeping was an American post-hardcore band from Long Island, New York, United States, formed in 2003. The band was founded by Cameron Keym, Sal Mignano, and Joe Zizzo from the remains of Skycamefalling. After auditioning twenty-two potential singers, they came across Doug Robinson, former singer/guitarist of the band Stillwelle. Poison The Well (band)
Poison the Well is an American metalcore band from Miami, Florida who were last signed to Ferret Music. In 2010, they announced a hiatus to explore other interests. Lead guitarist Ryan Primack and drummer Christopher Hornbrook were the only remaining founding members, although vocalist Jeffrey Moreira featured on all five of their full-length albums. The band has since performed several reunion shows: two in 2015, eleven in 2016 and one in 2020.
