''Obra Completa'' ( Portuguese for "''Complete Works''") is a compilation album by Brazilian rock band Zero, released in 2003 by EMI in order to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary. It is a combination of their EP ''Passos no Escuro'' and their first (and, at the time of the compilation's release, only) studio album '' Carne Humana'', completely remastered, in one CD. The compilation is currently out of print. Zero (Brazilian Band)
Zero (), stylized as ZERØ, is a Brazilian rock band formed in 1983 in São Paulo and based in Rio de Janeiro since 1998, widely considered to be major forerunners of the New Romantic movement in Brazil. History Early years and "Heróis" (1983–1985) Zero arose from the ashes of Ultimato (formerly known as Lux), an instrumental punk jazz/ no wave band formed in São Paulo in 1978 (and renamed as Ultimato in 1981) by Fabio Golfetti, Alberto "Beto" Birger, Cláudio Souza, Gilles Eduar and Nelson Coelho. Future vocalist Guilherme Isnard, who had recently left his former band Voluntários da Pátria, was introduced to Ultimato by his friend Luiz Antônio Ribas, owner of now-defunct independent record company Underground Discos e Artes; Isnard then decided to join the band, and approached its members to begin writing lyrics for their songs. Passos No Escuro
''Passos no Escuro'' (Portuguese for "''Footsteps in the Dark''") is an extended play by the Brazilian rock band Zero. It came out in 1985 by EMI. The EP was a massive commercial success, to the point of receiving a Gold Certification by Pro-Música Brasil, and spawned the hit singles "Formosa" and "Agora Eu Sei"; the latter counted with a guest appearance by RPM vocalist Paulo Ricardo on backing vocals. Music videos would also be made for those tracks. Norman Percevel Rockwell (February 3, 1894 – November 8, 1978) was an American painter and illustrator. ''Carne Humana'' (Portuguese for "''Human Flesh''") is the first studio album by Brazilian rock band Zero, following their EP ''Passos no Escuro''. It came out in 1987 by EMI. Even though it was not as commercially successful as ''Passos no Escuro'', the album spawned the hit singles "Quimeras" and "A Luta e o Prazer". Despite not being released as a single, "Abuso de Poder" was also a very memorable track, being that it criticized the Brazilian military government (which had ended only two years prior to the album's release). The album also includes the only song by Zero written in English, "Game Over".
