Oastler Lake Provincial Park is a provincial park in the municipality of Seguin, Parry Sound District in Central Ontario, Canada. The nearest town, just to the northwest, is Parry Sound. Oastler Lake is a recreation-class park, 32 hectares (79 acres) in size, on the shore of Oastler Lake where the Boyne River flows in from Otter Lake. Seguin is a township in central Ontario, Canada, in the District of Parry Sound. History The Township of Seguin was created by Minister's Order, dated May 8, 1997. Pursuant to this Order, the Township of Seguin became a newly incorporated municipality, effective January 1, 1998. The Township of Seguin is the amalgamated municipality of the former Townships of Christie, Foley and Humphrey, and the Village of Rosseau as well as an annexation of the western portion of the unorganized Township of Monteith. Parry Sound is a town in Ontario, Canada, located on the eastern shore of the sound after which it is named. Parry Sound is located south of Sudbury and north of Toronto. Otter Lake (Seguin, Parry Sound District, Ontario)
Otter Lake is a lake in geographic Foley Township in the municipality of Seguin, Parry Sound District in Central Ontario, Canada. Otter Lake was originally named 'Nigge-Cu-Bing' (Lake of Many Otters) by the original First Nations inhabitants. There are several segments to the lake. The "Long Arm" is a long, narrow portion which goes to the east. The "Little Long Arm" protrudes to the west. The "Little Otter" part is to the north, separated from the rest of the lake by the Otter Lake Narrows. The unincorporated places and railway points of Otter Lake and Holmur are at the narrows and on the north side of the lake respectively. The water level is controlled by a dam at the outflow to the Boyne River at the Little Otter portion of the lake. There are over 400 cottages on the lake. The Canadian Pacific Railway and Canadian National Railway main lines both pass the lake, the former at Otter Lake Narrows and the latter on the north shore of the lake. Ontario Highway 69
King's Highway 69, commonly referred to as Highway 69, is a provincially maintained north–south highway in the central portion of the Canadian province of Ontario. In conjunction with Highway 400, it links Toronto with the city of Greater Sudbury at Highway 17, via Parry Sound. It is part of the Trans-Canada Highway and the National Highway System. From its southern terminus of Highway 559 at Carling, Highway69 begins as Highway400 narrows from a four-laned freeway to a two lane highway. It travels northerly for approximately to south of the French River before widening back to a divided four lane freeway for approximately into Sudbury.
