Oxel is a village in Bardez sub-district, North Goa, India. The nearest airport is Dabolim Airport and railway station is at Tivim. Siolim
Siolim () is a village in Bardez taluka, and a census town on the central west coast of India, in the North Goa district of Goa. The 2001 population was 10,311, and 10,936 in 2011. Siolim is also the name of a constituency in the Goa assembly, which includes Assagao, Anjuna and Oxel, in addition to Siolim. A person from Siolim is known as a ''Siolcar'' or even as ''Shivalkar'' (). Location Siolim is situated about 7 km (4.3 mi) from Mapusa. It is located around the Chapora River. ''Bardez'' ( kok, Bardes; pt, Bardes; IPA: ) is a ''taluka'' of the North Goa district in the Indian state of Goa. It was a ''concelho'' in the Portuguese State of India before 1961. Etymology The name is credited to the Saraswat Brahmin immigrants who emigrated to the Konkan via Magadha plains in northern India. Bardez, or more properly ''bara'' (twelve) ''desh'' (country), means "twelve countries" (or territories). Panaji (; also known as Panjim) is the capital of the Indian state of Goa and the headquarters of North Goa district. Previously, it was the territorial capital of the former Portuguese India. Camurlim, also known as Ambora, is a village in Salcete taluka in Goa, India. It is situate about 45 km south of the lively city of Mapusa, well known for its weekly Friday market. Location Camurlim is north of Margao. It is located to the south-west of Raia and to the north-east of Loutolim, from the state capital Panaji. Tivim
Tivim pronounced Thivim, is a village in Nathivim in Bardez, in the North Goa district of Goa, India. It is an important gateway into North Goa as the home to the major railway station in North Goa.
