William Peter Blatty
William Peter Blatty (January 7, 1928 – January 12, 2017) was an American writer, director and producer. He is best known for his 1971 novel, ''The Exorcist'', and for his 1974 screenplay for the film adaptation of the same name. Blatty won an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay for ''The Exorcist'', and was nominated for Best Picture as its producer. The film also earned Blatty a Golden Globe Award for Best Motion Picture – Drama as producer. Renato Cestiè (born January 11, 1963) is a former Italian film actor. He was Italy's top child star of the 1970s. His best-known work was in tear-jerkers such as ''The Last Snows of Spring'', where he would play a neglected child who, most often, would die of disease by the end of the film. Despite their grim themes, these films were successful and spawned many imitators. Several of Cestiè's movies were also popular in the UK, where they were released by GTO Films. Umberto Lenzi (6 August 1931 – 19 October 2017) was an Italian film director, screenwriter, and novelist. A fan of film since young age, Lenzi studied at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia and made his first film in 1958 which went unreleased, while his official debut happened in 1961 with ''Queen of the Seas''.
