Overseas Chinese Town
Overseas Chinese Town (OCT, ) is the colloquial name for a cluster of scenic spots in Nanshan District of Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, China, around the Window of the World Station, Overseas Chinese Town Station, Qiaocheng East Station and Qiaocheng North Station of the Luobao Line (Line 1) and Shekou Line (Line 2) of Shenzhen Metro. In the future, Meilin Line (Line 9) will also pass this area and serve OCT Harbour (OCT Bay) and the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital. It is classified as an AAAAA scenic area by the China National Tourism Administration. Main sights The area features a number of theme parks, they include Splendid China, Chinese Folk Culture Village, Window of the World, and Happy Valley Shenzhen. Yantian
Yantian District () is one of the nine districts of the city of Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. It is adjacent to Shenzhen River and Hong Kong to the south, and is surrounded by Luohu, Longgang and Pingshan districts of Shenzhen. Before 1960s, the northern part of the district belonged to Huiyang County (now Huiyang District, Huizhou). The famous Huizhou Uprising launched by Dr. Sun Yat-sen started in the northern part of the district during 1900. The failure of the revolution had inspired Dr. Sun to revolt against the Qing dynasty, which soon ended in 1912 after the Wuchang Uprising. Due to the proximity to Bao'an County, Northern Yantian merged into the new County in 1960s. OCT East
OCT East () is a major entertainment and resort complex in Yantian, Shenzhen, China. It was constructed at a cost of CNY 3.5 billion and covers an area of nearly . Construction started in 2004 and it was opened in 2007. It is divided into 3 theme parks, namely Knight Valley (), Tea Stream Resort Valley () and Wind Valley () and features 8 hotels and a Buddhist Temple. OCT Tower () is a skyscraper in Overseas Chinese Town, Shenzhen, China. It is 300 meters tall and has 60 floors. It is the 15th tallest building in Shenzhen. It functions as an office building.
