Out Now Consulting is a marketing agency that provides specialised gay marketing services to large companies by researching gay lifestyles and using the information to develop strategies to target gay and lesbian consumers. Origins Although Out Now is a Dutch company, its origins lie in the formation of an Australian company, Significant Others, which after its establishment in 1992 became known in Australian media over subsequent years for its work as a specialist gay marketing agency. Significant Others presented the Keynote address at the world's first gay marketing conference in 1994. Following the establishment of an office in Amsterdam, Out Now became the first business of its kind with agencies in more than one country. Activities are now undertaken in the US, UK, Germany, Belgium, France, Ireland and The Netherlands markets. ''The Independent'' is a British online newspaper. It was established in 1986 as a national morning printed paper. Nicknamed the ''Indy'', it began as a broadsheet and changed to tabloid format in 2003. The last printed edition was published on Saturday 26 March 2016, leaving only the online edition. ''Gay Krant'' was a Dutch magazine written for the gay community, published every month since 1980. It was published by the Best Publishing Group under leadership of Henk Krol. The magazine has its headquarters in Amsterdam. After a bankruptcy in 2013, the magazine was taken over by the companies behind the other gay media Winq, Gay.nl and OUTTV. The Gay Krant then first appeared as a combined edition with homoglossy Winq under the name Winq , Gaykrant, but eventually the indication Gaykrant disappeared and nowadays the magazine is simply called Winq. Since August 2017, Gaykrant has been re-launched (online only) and is part of the Gaykrant Foundation.
