Our World In Data
Our World in Data (OWID) is a scientific online publication that focuses on large global problems such as poverty, disease, hunger, climate change, war, existential risks, and inequality. It is a project of the Global Change Data Lab, a registered charity in England and Wales, and was founded by Max Roser, a social historian and development economist. The research team is based at the University of Oxford. Content Our World in Data uses interactive charts and maps to illustrate research findings, often taking a long-term view to show how global living conditions have changed over time. Max Roser
Max Roser (born 1983) is an economist and philosopher who focuses on large global problems such as poverty, disease, hunger, climate change, war, existential risks, and inequality. He is the founder and director of the research publication Our World in Data, and a research director in economics at the University of Oxford. Early life and education Roser was born in Kirchheimbolanden, Germany, a small village close to the border with France. In 1999, he and a friend won a prize in the German youth science competition Jugend Forscht with a model of a self-navigating vacuum cleaner. ''Der Spiegel'' reported that he travelled the length of the Nile from the mouth to the source, and that he crossed the Himalayas and the Andes. COVID-19 Testing
COVID-19 testing involves analyzing samples to assess the current or past presence of SARS-CoV-2. The two main types of tests detect either the presence of the virus or antibodies produced in response to infection.
