Oswaldo Arcia
Oswaldo Celestino Arcia (born May 9, 1991) is a Venezuelan professional baseball outfielder for the Toros de Tijuana of the Mexican League. He previously played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for the Minnesota Twins, Tampa Bay Rays, Miami Marlins, and San Diego Padres. He also played in Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB) for the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters. Professional career Arcia signed with the Minnesota Twins as an amateur free agent in 2007. He was added to the team's 40 man roster on November 18, 2011. Arcia was the Twins Minor League Hitter of the Year in 2012 after hitting .320/.388/.539 with 17 home runs and 98 runs batted in (RBIs). In Major League Baseball, a player to be named later (PTBNL) is an unnamed player involved in exchange or "trade" of players between teams. The terms of a trade are not finalized until a later date, most often following the conclusion of the season. Postponing a trade's final conditions or terms is often done for several reasons. First, the team receiving the PTBNL might not be certain which position they want to fill, so this type of deal gives them more time to figure it out. Daniel Ernesto Santana (born November 7, 1990) is a Dominican professional baseball infielder and outfielder who is currently a free agent. Designated for assignment (DFA) is a contractual term used in Major League Baseball (MLB). A player who is designated for assignment is immediately removed from the team's 40-man roster, after which the team must within seven days, return the player to the 40-man roster, place the player on waivers, trade the player, release the player, or outright the player from the 40-man roster into Minor League Baseball.
