Oswald Kohut
Oswald Kohut (9 August 1877 – 25 October 1951) was a German journalist, publisher and writer with two pseudonyms, Franz Conring and Dr. Otto Hollmann. Life Born in Düsseldorf, Kohut was born as the son of Adolph Kohut and his wife Elisabeth Kohut-Mannstein. He studied Literary criticism and Art history at the universities of Rostock, Bonn and Berlin. After his studies he was editor of the ''Potsdamer Intelligenz-Blatt'' in 1897, official publication organ of the authorities for Potsdam and the surrounding districts", then at the ''Berliner Lokalanzeiger'' and at the ''Berliner Tageblatt''. From 1899 to 1921 he was editor-in-chief and owner of the newspaper ''Grunewald-Echo'' From 1904 to 1918 he was editor of the newspaper ''Die Höfische und herrschaftliche Küche. Joseph Wulf
Joseph Wulf (22 December 1912 – 10 October 1974) was a German-Polish Jewish historian. A survivor of the Auschwitz concentration camp, he was the author of several books about Nazi Germany and the Holocaust, including ''Das Dritte Reich und die Juden'' (with Léon Poliakov, 1955); ''Heinrich Himmler'' (1960); and ''Martin Bormann: Hitlers Schatten'' (1962). The ''Deutsche Biographische Enzyklopädie'' (''DBE'') is a biographical dictionary published by Walther Killy and Rudolf Vierhaus (from the third to fourth volume), the first edition of which was published from 1995 to 2003 in 13 volumes by K. G. Saur Verlag. Between 2005 and 2008 a second twelve-volume, revised and extended edition was published. Profile The first issue of the ''German Biographical Encyclopedia'' contained articles on around 56,000 people. In the second edition, this number grew to around 63,000 people. The majority of the articles are short biographies compiled by the editorial staff; in addition there are around 1,300 detailed personal articles written by experts and signed by name. Salomon Wininger
Salomon Wininger (; 13 December 1877, Gura Humora, Bukovina – December 1968, in Ramat Gan, Israel) was an Austrian-Jewish biographer. He has been called one of the greatest Jewish biographers of all time. Before World War I, Wininger lived in Chernivtsi and moved to Vienna during the war years, where he decided to write biographies of famous Jews. This idea was pushed in order to counter the self-hating mood of Jewish youth in the city, created under the influence of Otto Weininger's works. After his return to Chernivtsi in 1921, Shlomo Wininger wrote about 13,000 biographies and published them in seven volumes between 1925 and 1936. A Masonic lodge, often termed a private lodge or constituent lodge, is the basic organisational unit of Freemasonry. It is also commonly used as a term for a building in which such a unit meets. Every new lodge must be warranted or chartered by a Grand Lodge, but is subject to its direction only in enforcing the published constitution of the jurisdiction.
