Osmo Kock
Osmo Olavi Kock (September 14, 1929, Hollola - September 15, 1994, Lahti) was a Finnish politician. Kock was Finnish People's Democratic League Member of Parliament between 1966-1970 and 1972–1974. He was member of Lahti City Council. Kock left Parliament when he became Finnish Ambassador to East Germany, where he worked from 1974 to 1979. Later, he was Ambassador to Algeria from 1979 to 1983 and to Romania from 1987 to 1990. Kock was elected as a member of the Southern constituency of the Häme County. In parliament he was member of Legal Affairs Committee and constitutional committee. In the second law committee, Kock was also chairman. Hollola
Hollola () is a municipality of Finland, located in the western part of the Päijänne Tavastia region. The municipality is unilingually Finnish and has a population of () and covers an area of of which is water. The population density is . Hollola has the tallest structure in Finland, the Tiirismaa TV-Tower. A popular resort in Hollola is Messilä. There you can do cross-country-skiing, downhill skiing, tramping and play golf. There is a hotel and a camping site in Messilä. Messilä is located by Vesijärvi. In 2018, Hollola hosted the Jukola Relays. National Workers' Savings Bank (Finland)
National Workers' Savings Bank (1971-1989) (In Finnish; ''Suomen Työväen Säästöpankki'', in Swedish; ''Arbetarsparbanken'') or STS-Bank (1989-1992) was a Finnish savings bank and commercial bank. Workers' savings banks were syndicalist, social democratic corporations intended to compete with privately owned banks, which could deny credit to workers on political grounds. Created in 1971 through a merger of five local workers' savings banks, the oldest component of STS was the Helsinki branch, founded in 1909. The Turku workers' savings bank was the only one to choose to stay independent. With the merger, STS became the largest savings bank in Finland. The bank went almost bankrupt in 1992 and was sold at a loss to KOP (later Nordea), with the government taking care of much of the bad debt. Lahti
Lahti (; sv, Lahtis) is a city and municipality in Finland. It is the capital of the region of Päijänne Tavastia (Päijät-Häme) and its growing region is one of the main economic hubs of Finland. Lahti is situated on a bay at the southern end of lake Vesijärvi about north-east of the capital city Helsinki, south-west of the Heinola town and east of Hämeenlinna, the capital of the region of Tavastia Proper (Kanta-Häme).
