The Organisation of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan (), officially the National Center of Trade Unions of Turkmenistan (TKAMM; ), is an officially registered social organization in Turkmenistan, National trade union center, uniting trade unions in the country. It was represented in the 2013–2018 Assembly of Turkmenistan. Members of the organization was held 33 out of 125 seats in the Mejilis. Following the results of the 2013 Turkmen parliamentary election, 2013 parliamentary election, the organization, like the Women's Union of Turkmenistan and Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan, entered the Mejlis of Turkmenistan for the first time. The organization is loyal to the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan, which has dominated the country since 1991. The "State Anthem of Turkmenistan", also known as the "National Anthem of Independent Neutral Turkmenistan" ( tk, Garaşsyz, Bitarap Türkmenistanyň Döwlet Gimni), was adopted as the national anthem of Turkmenistan in 1996, then again with modified lyrics in 2008.''Turkmenistan to the Heights of the Golden Age'', Ashgabat, 2005. The Magtymguly Youth Organisation of Turkmenistan () is a registered social and political organization in Turkmenistan. It held seats in the Mejilis of Turkmenistan of the sixth convocation (2013–2018). Despite this organization having the appearance of a non-governmental organization, in reality, Magtymguly Youth Organisation was closely linked and controlled by the government. This organization is named after the famous Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Pyragy, and was founded in November 1991 as a continuation of Turkmen branch of the Komsomol. The organization holds various cultural events, scientific and practical conferences, as well as thematic meetings, seminars among student youth, rural youth, including those with the participation of persons with disabilities. 2013 Turkmen Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Turkmenistan on 15 December 2013. Although they were the first multi-party elections in the country's history, both contesting parties claimed loyalty to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedow. The ruling Democratic Party emerged as the largest faction in the Assembly with 47 of the 125 seats, losing its parliamentary majority for the first time since independence. The elections were criticized by the OSCE, Amnesty International, and opposition groups such as the Turkmen Initiative for Human Rights.
