Oregon Elections Division
The Oregon State Elections Division (officially, Elections Division of the Office of the Secretary of State of Oregon) is the agency of the government of the U.S. state of Oregon which administers the state's election laws in cooperation with the chief election officers of each of its counties. It provides advice and assistance on electoral matters to the public, elected officials, candidates, and the media. It processes candidate filings for state offices, initiative and referendum petitions, campaign contribution and expenditure reports, and other election documents. Prior to each primary and general election, the division publishes and distributes the state Voters' Pamphlet. It also investigates allegations of election law violations. Oregon () is a U.S. state, state in the Pacific Northwest region of the Western United States. Oregon Secretary Of State
The secretary of state of Oregon, an elected constitutional officer within the executive branch of government of the U.S. state of Oregon, is first in line of succession to the governor. The duties of the office are auditor of public accounts, chief elections officer, and administrator of public records. Additionally, the secretary of state serves on the Oregon State Land Board and chairs the Oregon Sustainability Board. Following every United States Census, if the Oregon Legislative Assembly cannot come to agreement over changes to legislative redistricting, the duty falls to the secretary of state.
