Oregon Ballot Measure 89 (2014)
Oregon Ballot Measure 89, also known as the Oregon Equal Rights for Women Initiative, was a ballot measure in the U.S. state of Oregon to determine whether or not to enact a "constitutional amendment specifically barring discrimination based on gender, a state version of the Equal Rights Amendment for women's rights once proposed for the U.S. Constitution". Measure 89 passed with about 64% of votes statewide, gaining most of its support in 24 of the 36 counties. Josephine County is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2020 census, the population was 88,090. The county seat is Grants Pass. The county is probably named after a stream in the area called Josephine Creek, which in turn is probably named after Virginia Josephine Rollins Ort. Umatilla County () is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2020 census, the population was 80,075. Hermiston is the largest city in Umatilla County, but Pendleton remains the county seat. Umatilla County is part of the Hermiston-Pendleton, OR Micropolitan Statistical Area, which has a combined population of 92,261. It is included in the eight-county definition of Eastern Oregon. Tillamook County, Oregon
Tillamook County is one of the 36 counties in the U.S. state of Oregon. As of the 2020 census, the population was 27,390. The county seat is Tillamook. The county is named for the Tillamook or Killamook people, a Native American tribe who were living in the area in the early 19th century at the time of European American settlement. The county is located within Northwest Oregon. The Tillamook were the southernmost branch of the Coast Salish. They were separated from their more northern kinsmen by tribes speaking the Chinookian languages.
