Oregon's 45th House District
District 45 of the Oregon House of Representatives is one of 60 House legislative districts in the state of Oregon. As of 2021, the district is contained entirely within Multnomah County and includes parts of inner northeast and southeast Portland as well as Parkrose and Argay in outer northeast Portland and the independent enclave of Maywood Park. The current representative for the district is Democrat Thuy Tran of Portland. Election results District boundaries have changed over time. Oregon () is a state in the Pacific Northwest region of the Western United States. Jackie Dingfelder
Jackie Dingfelder is a Democratic Party of Oregon, Democratic politician in the U.S. state of Oregon. She is a former member of the Oregon State Senate and the Oregon House of Representatives, and later served as a part of Portland, Oregon Mayor Charlie Hales' staff. Early life Dingfelder has a bachelor's degree in Geography-Ecosystems Management from the University of California, Los Angeles and a master's degree in regional planning, with an emphasis on water resources management, from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. 2018 Oregon Legislative Election
The 2018 elections for the Oregon Legislative Assembly determined the composition of both houses for the 80th Oregon Legislative Assembly. The Republican and Democratic parties held primary elections on May 15, 2018 with general elections on November 6, 2018. As a result of the elections, the Democratic Party expanded its advantage in both houses of the state legislature. The 2016 elections for the Oregon Legislative Assembly determined the composition of both houses for the 79th Oregon Legislative Assembly. The Republican and Democratic parties held primary elections on May 17, 2016 with general elections on November 8. Barbara Smith Warner (born 1967) is a Democratic politician from the U.S. state of Oregon. She serves in the Oregon House of Representatives representing District 45, which includes northeastern Portland, and Maywood Park. Early life and career Born Barbara Smith in Erie, Pennsylvania, she is a graduate of Gannon University. Oregon Senate
The Oregon State Senate is the upper house of the statewide legislature for the US state of Oregon. Along with the lower chamber Oregon House of Representatives it makes up the Oregon Legislative Assembly. There are 30 members of the state Senate, representing 30 districts across the state, each with a population of 127,700. The state Senate meets in the east wing of the Oregon State Capitol in Salem. Oregon state senators serve four-year terms without term limits. In 2002, the Oregon Supreme Court struck down the decade-old Oregon Ballot Measure 3, that had restricted state senators to two terms (eight years) on procedural grounds.
