"Ordinary Day" is the lead single taken from Dolores O'Riordan, Dolores O'Riordan's debut album, ''Are You Listening? (Dolores O'Riordan album), Are You Listening?''. The single was the most added Adult album alternative, AAA track on US radio stations. The single peaked at number two in Italy, number 1 in Croatia and number 10 in Lebanon. Music video The music video was directed by Caswell Cloggins and was filmed in Prague. It features a little girl somewhat resembling Little Red Riding Hood. Dolores O'Riordan
Dolores Mary Eileen O'Riordan ( ; 6 September 1971 – 15 January 2018) was an Irish musician, singer and songwriter. She was best known as the lead vocalist and lyricist for the alternative rock band the Cranberries. One of the most recognizable voices in rock in the 1990s, she was known for her lilting mezzo-soprano voice, signature yodel, emphasized use of keening, and strong Limerick accent. O'Riordan was born in County Limerick, Ireland, to a Catholic working-class family. She began to perform as a soloist in her church choir before leaving secondary school to join the Cranberries in 1990. Recognised for her "unique" voice, she quickly achieved worldwide fame. During her lifetime, she released seven studio albums with the Cranberries, including four number-one albums. ''Are You Listening?'' is Dolores O'Riordan's debut solo album. It was released on 4 May 2007 in Ireland, 7 May 2007 in Europe and 15 May 2007 in North America. The first single, "Ordinary Day", was released in late April. The "Ordinary Day" video was shot in the city of Prague. The second single was "When We Were Young". O'Riordan embarked on the ''Are You Listening Tour'' May 2007. Production and development After the release of the band's compilation album '' Stars: The Best of 1992–2002'', O'Riordan told her band mates that she had decided to take a break to go on a journey of discovery. She wanted to find out "who hewas without The Cranberries". On a personal mission to "experience real life" and "some grounding" due to feeling under pressure, O'Riordan took four years to write new songs as a hobby, as well as spend time with her family.
