Orbe District
Orbe District was a district of the canton of Vaud, Switzerland. Canton Of Vaud
Vaud ( ; french: (Canton de) Vaud, ; german: (Kanton) Waadt, or ), more formally the canton of Vaud, is one of the 26 cantons forming the Swiss Confederation. Romainmôtier-Envy
Romainmôtier-Envy () is a municipality in the canton of Vaud in Switzerland, located in the district of Jura-Nord Vaudois. The village, which lies on the Nozon river, has about 450 inhabitants. The town has a notable Romanesque church. The monastery of Romainmôtier (''Romanum monasterium'') was founded by Romanus of Condat, a leader of monks, after whom it was named. Orbe
Orbe (; la, Urba; older german: Orbach, ; frp, Orba) is a municipality in the Swiss canton of Vaud. It was the seat of the former district of Orbe and is now part of the district of Jura-Nord Vaudois. History Orbe is first mentioned about 280 as ''Urba''.
