Orange Glen High School
Orange Glen High School (OGHS) is one of the five public high schools in the Escondido Union School District in Escondido, California. It was established in 1962. The school earned the California Distinguished School Award in 2007. In the 2005-06 school year Orange Glen High School served 2,370 students from grades 9 to 12. It has six academic counselors. The school's yearbook is known as ''The Torch''. ''The Musket'' school newspaper is part of the High School National Ad Network. Athletics Orange Glen High School is a Division II school and a member of the Valley League. Escondido, California
Escondido is a city in San Diego County, California, United States. Located in the North County region, it was incorporated in 1888, and is one of the oldest cities in San Diego County. It has a population of 151,038 as of the 2020 census. Etymology "Escondido" is a Spanish word meaning "hidden". One source says the name originally referred to ''agua escondida'' or hidden water; another says it meant "hidden treasure". The city is known as ''Eskondiid'' in Kumeyaay. Frederick S. Biletnikoff (born February 23, 1943) is a former American football player and coach. He was a wide receiver for the Oakland Raiders in the American Football League (AFL) and National Football League (NFL) for fourteen seasons and later an assistant coach with the team. He retired as an NFL player after the 1978 season, and then played one additional season in the Canadian Football League (CFL) for the Montreal Alouettes in 1980. While he lacked the breakaway speed to be a deep-play threat, Biletnikoff was one of the most sure-handed and consistent receivers of his day, with a propensity for making spectacular catches. Richard Sean Salisbury (born March 9, 1963) is an American football analyst, former National Football League (NFL) and Canadian Football League (CFL) quarterback, and actor. Brett Jon Salisbury (born October 11, 1968) is a former college football quarterback at University of Oregon, BYU, and Wayne State College. Early life Salisbury, the younger brother of former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury, grew up in Escondido, California. He was a pitcher for the Escondido Little League that finished fifth in the 1981 Little League World Series.
