Oppdal Station
Oppdal Station ( no, Oppdal stasjon) is a railway station located in downtown Oppdal in the municipality of Oppdal in Trøndelag county, Norway. It sits close to the European route E06 highway, just northwest of the mountain Allmannberget. The village of Oppdal is dominated by mountain tourism and skiing in winter. The station is located along the Dovre Line, and it is served by four daily express trains going in each direction to Oslo and Trondheim. It is also served by a few daily Trøndelag Commuter Rail to Trondheim. The station was opened in 1921 as part of the Dovre Line when it was extended from Dombås to Trondheim. (locally: ''Auna'') is the administrative centre of Oppdal Municipality in Trøndelag county, Norway. The village is located at the junction of the European route E06 and the Norwegian National Road 70. The villages of Vognillan, Fagerhaug, and Holan are all located around Oppdal to the west, north, and south respectively. The village has a population (2017) of 4,299 which gives the village a population density of . Kongsvoll Station ( no, Kongsvoll stasjon) is a railway station located at Kongsvoll in the municipality of Oppdal in Trøndelag county, Norway. It's located in the Drivdalen valley, along the Driva river and the European route E06 highway. The unmanned station is located in the mountains, outside of civilization, with no permanent population close by. Gudmund Hoel (25 September 1877 – 7 September 1956) was a Norwegian architect. He is regarded as the second-most influential railway architect in Norway, after Paul Due. Biography He was born in Kragerø, Norway. Hoel graduated from Kristiania Tekniske Skole (today Oslo University College) in 1896.
