Opinion Polling For The Next Greek Legislative Election
In the run-up to the next Greek legislative election, various organizations carry out opinion polling to gauge voting intention in Greece. Results of such polls are displayed in this article. The date range for these opinion polls is from the previous legislative election, held on 25 June 2023, to the present day. Polls are listed in reverse chronological order, showing the most recent first and using the dates when the survey fieldwork was done, as opposed to the date of publication. Where the fieldwork dates are unknown, the date of publication is given instead. The highest percentage figure in each polling survey is displayed with its background shaded in the leading party's colour. If a tie ensues, this is applied to the figures with the highest percentages. Next Greek Legislative Election
Legislative elections are scheduled be held in Greece by July 2023. All 300 seats in the Hellenic Parliament will be contested. They will be the first elections since 1990 in which the electoral system will not use a bonus seats system, after the 2016 repeal of semi-proportional representation. Electoral system The electoral law in effect for the next legislative election (in 2023 at the latest) is set to be the one voted in 2016 by the second last legislature, where SYRIZA held a plurality. This is due to a constitutional provision on amendments to the electoral law: a two-thirds majority (200 or more votes of the Vouli) is necessary for the law to take immediate effect, and for want of such a supermajority, an electoral law comes into effect only in the next-but-one election. The Democrats () is a Greek political party founded in 2024 by former PASOK–KINAL politician Andreas Loverdos. It describes itself as a " patriotic, popular, politically liberal, modernizing, reformist, digital and pluralist" party. The party is participated in 2024 European Parliament election in Greece. New Left (Greece)
The New Left (NA; ) is a pro-European left-wing political party in the Hellenic Parliament. It was founded on 4 December 2023 by eleven independent MPs who left the Syriza party. The president of the parliamentary group is Alexis Haritsis. The New Left officially became a party on 3 March 2024 after its founding conference. History After the resignation of Alexis Tsipras as president of Syriza, and the subsequent election of Stefanos Kasselakis to replace him in September 2023, there was an internal crisis in the party. The Voice of Reason ( el, Φωνή Λογικής, translit=Foní Logikís, FL) is a far-right, ultranationalist political party in Greece. It was established in 2023 by Afroditi Latinopoulou, a lawyer and former tennis athlete. History The party was originally founded as "Homeland" ( el, Πατρίδα, translit=Patrída), but was excluded from the May 2023 Greek legislative election by the Supreme Court due to a dispute over the name and symbol of the Patriotic Force for Change (PATRIDA) party, to which Latinopoulou had previously belonged. The European Realistic Disobedience Front ( el, Μέτωπο Ευρωπαϊκής Ρεαλιστικής Ανυπακοής), or MeRA25 ( el, ΜέΡΑ25), is a left-wing Greek political party founded in 2018. Its founder and General Secretary is former Syriza MP and Finance Minister Yanis Varoufakis. MeRa25 is part of the Democracy in Europe Movement 2025 (DiEM25), the European Spring and the Progressive International. Course of Freedom ( el, Πλεύση Ελευθερίας, translit=Plefsi Eleftherias) is a left-wing Greek political party founded on 19 April 2016, by former President of the Hellenic Parliament, Zoe Konstantopoulou.
