Opinion Polling For The Next Greek Legislative Election
In the run-up to the next Greek legislative election, various organizations carry out opinion polling to gauge voting intention in Greece. Results of such polls are displayed in this article. The date range for these opinion polls is from the previous legislative election, held on 25 June 2023, to the present day. Polls are listed in reverse chronological order, showing the most recent first and using the dates when the survey fieldwork was done, as opposed to the date of publication. Where the fieldwork dates are unknown, the date of publication is given instead. The highest percentage figure in each polling survey is displayed with its background shaded in the leading party's colour. If a tie ensues, this is applied to the figures with the highest percentages. The "Lead" columns on the right shows the percentage point difference between the parties with the highest percentages in a given poll. Next Greek Legislative Election
Legislative elections are scheduled be held in Greece by July 2023. All 300 seats in the Hellenic Parliament will be contested. They will be the first elections since 1990 in which the electoral system will not use a bonus seats system, after the 2016 repeal of semi-proportional representation. Electoral system The electoral law in effect for the next legislative election (in 2023 at the latest) is set to be the one voted in 2016 by the second last legislature, where SYRIZA held a plurality. This is due to a constitutional provision on amendments to the electoral law: a two-thirds majority (200 or more votes of the Vouli) is necessary for the law to take immediate effect, and for want of such a supermajority, an electoral law comes into effect only in the next-but-one election.
