Rachele Bruni
Rachele Bruni (born 4 November 1990) is an Italian swimmer, specialising in open water long-distance races. She won the silver medal in the 10 km marathon at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics, in 10 km open water. She won the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Series 3 times in 2015, 2016 and 2019. Career In 2015, Bruni became the first Italian swimmer to win the FINA 10km Marathon Swimming World Series. She won it again in 2016. At the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Bruni won the silver medal in the 10 km marathon, behind Sharon van Rouwendaal. She initially finished in 3rd position, just behind world champion Aurélie Muller, but the latter was disqualified for obstructing Bruni at the finish line. 2020 European Aquatics Championships
The 2020 European Aquatics Championships (also known as the 2021 European Aquatics Championships; 35th) were scheduled to take place in Budapest, Hungary, from 11 to 24 May 2020. However, on 5 May it was announced that the event had been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, with 10 to 23 May 2021 set as replacement dates. Schedule A total of 73 medal events were held across 4 disciplines. Competition dates by discipline are: * Swimming: 17–23 May * Open water swimming: 12–16 May * Artistic swimming: 10–15 May * Diving: 10–16 May Venues The venues of the competition will be the Danube Arena, in central Budapest, for swimming, diving and artistic swimming events and the Lupa Lake, located in the town of Budakalász (part of the Budapest metropolitan area) for open water swimming events. Martin Straka (born September 3, 1972) is a Czech former ice hockey center who most recently played for HC Plzeň 1929 of the Czech Extraliga. He is also the club's general manager and co-owner, having bought a 70% share of the team in 2009. Straka played in the National Hockey League (NHL) from 1992 until 2008 with the Pittsburgh Penguins, Ottawa Senators, New York Islanders, Florida Panthers, Los Angeles Kings and New York Rangers. Playing career Straka was drafted 19th overall by the Penguins in the 1992 NHL Entry Draft, and has played for several teams throughout his 15-year NHL career. Lara Grangeon (born 21 September 1991) is a French swimmer from the territory of New Caledonia who competes in the individual medley and butterfly events. At the 2012 Summer Olympics she finished 18th overall in the heats in the 400 metre individual medley and failed to reach the final. Due to the New Caledonia's status as an overseas territory of France, Grangeon competes for New Caledonia in regional (Pacific) competitions and for France in continental and global competitions.
