The Opel Cascada is a four-passenger fabric-roof convertible, manufactured and marketed by Opel across a single generation for model years 2013-2019, prioritizing year-round touring comfort over sportiness. Nearly identical badge engineered variants were marketed globally using the ''Cascada'' nameplate under four General Motors brands: Opel, Vauxhall, Holden and Buick — and the ''Opel Cabrio'' nameplate in Spain. Gliwice (; german: Gleiwitz) is a city in Upper Silesia, in southern Poland. The city is located in the Silesian Highlands, on the Kłodnica river (a tributary of the Oder). The 2+2 is a version of the coupé car-body style that has two front seats for the driver and front passenger, as well as two small (narrow legroom) rear seats for children or other occasional usage. It is therefore different from 4 or 5 seat versions that have normal size rear seats. Some manufacturers which sell coupés without rear seats often market the car as "2+2" or as 2-plus-2. Definition By standard definition, all cars in the 2+2 category have two front seats and two rear seats. Other common characteristics for 2+2 cars include relatively little room for the rear passengers and a coupé body with two doors. Badge Engineering
In the automotive industry, rebadging is a form of market segmentation used by automobile manufacturers around the world. To allow for product differentiation without designing or engineering a new model or brand (at high cost or risk), a manufacturer creates a distinct automobile by applying a new "badge" or trademark (brand, logo, or manufacturer's name/make/marque) to an existing product line. Rebadging is also known as '' rebranding'' and ''badge engineering''; the latter is an intentionally ironic misnomer, in that little or no actual engineering takes place. The term originated with the practice of replacing an automobile's emblems to create an ostensibly new model sold by a different maker. Mark Adams (designer)
Mark Adams (born 11 December 1961, in London) is an English car designer. He is current senior car designer at Opel Automobile and has worked as for brands including Cadillac, Buick and Opel. Career Adams studied both engineering and design and has masters in automotive design from the Royal College of Art in London. Adams started his career with Ford. Adams joined GM's former German brand Opel in 2002 as the newly created Director of Exterior Design role, responsible for exterior design of all Opel vehicles. He was appointed Vice President GM Europe Design in June 2007 where he created the consolidated GM Europe Design Center in Rüsselsheim, Germany and was responsible for designing cars across GM’s Opel, Saab and Saturn marques. GM 6T40 Transmission
The Hydra-Matic 6T40 and similar 6T45, 6T50 and 6T30 are transversely-mounted six speed automatic transmissions produced by General Motors. The 6T40, referred to in GM inner circles as the GF6, made its debut in the 2008 Chevrolet Malibu, available with the 2.4 L '' LE5'' ''Ecotec'' engine making , and has since also been made available on the Chevrolet Cruze, Daewoo Tosca and Buick LaCrosse.
