Wielsbeke () is a municipality located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Ooigem, Sint-Baafs-Vijve and Wielsbeke proper. On January 1, 2018, Wielsbeke had a total population of 9,584. The total area is 21.76 km² which gives a population density of 440 inhabitants per km². Notable people * Jan Callewaert (b. Arrondissement Of Tielt
The Arrondissement of Tielt ( nl, Arrondissement Tielt; french: Arrondissement de Tielt) is one of the eight administrative arrondissements in the Province of West Flanders, Belgium. History The Arrondissement of Tielt was created in 1818 and originally comprised the cantons of Ruiselede and Tielt, which were ceded from the Arrondissement of Bruges, and the canton of Meulebeke, which was ceded from the Arrondissement of Kortrijk. In 1823, the Arrondissement of Torhout and Wakken ceased to exist and, as a result, a number of municipalities which had previously been a part of the Arrondissement of Torhout and the canton of Oostrozebeke were added to the arrondissement. Waregem (; vls, Woaregem), sometimes known as Waereghem, is a municipality and city located in the Belgian province of West Flanders. The municipality lies in the valley of the river Leie, between Kortrijk and Ghent. Zulte
Zulte () is a Belgian municipality located in Flanders and in the Flemish province of East Flanders. The municipality comprises the towns of Machelen, and Zulte proper. In 2021, Zulte had a total population of 15,843. The total area is 32.52 km2. The town used to have its own beer since 1891 (simply called Zulte) but today they are part of Alken-Maes breweries. The main football club from Zulte merged with KSV Waregem to form a team called SV Zulte Waregem that plays in the Belgian Pro League as of 2006. Beaulieu International Group is a Belgian textile manufacturing company, with its head office located in Waregem, a region of West Flanders which is known for its textile industry. History The company was founded as ''Beaulieu'' in 1959 by Roger De Clerck as a fabric production business. Between 1959 and 1991 Beaulieu expanded and grew into a vertical integrated company. In 1991 the company was split-up in seven parts between Roger De Clerck and his six children. Roger De Clerck remained in charge of raw materials. Between 1991 and 2005 the changing market conditions led to an overcapacity in the European textile industry and growing international competition. Niko Eeckhout (born 16 December 1970) is a Belgian former professional road racing cyclist, who rode professionally between 1992 and 2013. He was the 2005–2006 UCI Europe Tour series and the 2006 Belgian National Cycling Championship Road Race champion, and currently works for the Team as a coach. Career Born in Izegem, Eeckhout started his career in 1993 riding for the small Collstrop-team.
