Sam Nujoma Stadium
Sam Nujoma Stadium (also called the Sam Nujoma Soccer Stadium or SNSS) is a football (soccer) stadium in Katutura, Windhoek, Namibia. The stadium holds 10,300 and was finished in 2005. Windhoek (, , ) is the capital and largest city of Namibia. It is located in central Namibia in the Khomas Highland plateau area, at around above sea level, almost exactly at the country's geographical centre. Football in Namibia is governed by the Namibia Football Association. The Namibia Premier League is the main domestic league. The Namibia national football team has never qualified for the FIFA World Cup, but has twice been runner up in the COSAFA Cup. The Rec.Sport.Soccer Statistics Foundation (RSSSF) is an international organization dedicated to collecting statistics about association football. The foundation aims to build an exhaustive archive of football-related information from around the world. Ricardo Mannetti (born 24 April 1975) is a Namibian retired footballer who now works as a coach. He has managed coached the Namibia national team. Playing career Club Nicknamed ''Bucksy'', Mannetti grew up in the Windhoek's Bethlehem township and played as a midfielder in South Africa for Santos and became the first Namibian to win the South African Professional Soccer League in 2001. International He competed for the Namibia national football team from 1992–2003, including the 1998 African Cup of Nations.
