One Of A Kind (Monsta X EP)
''One of a Kind'' is the ninth extended play by the South Korean boy group Monsta X. It was released by Starship Entertainment and distributed by Kakao Entertainment on June 1, 2021. Background and release The extended play was announced in May 2021. On May 3, Starship Entertainment announced that Shownu would not be promoting with the group for the comeback due to health issues. The lead single "Gambler" was written in part by members Joohoney and I.M, and was the first lead single for the group produced by Joohoney. Additionally, Hyungwon wrote the fan dedicated song "Bebe" and wrote and produced for the song "Secrets", and I.M wrote and produced for the song "Rotate". Critical reception Ruby C, writing for ''NME'', describes "Gambler" as a departure "from the group's usual (and predictable) title-as-a-repetitive-hook formula to create an alluring and unadulteratedly fun song". Monsta X (; stylized as MONSTA X) is a South Korean boy group formed through the reality survival program ''No.Mercy'' under Starship Entertainment. The group is currently composed of six members: Shownu, Minhyuk, Kihyun, Hyungwon, Joohoney and I.M, with former member Wonho having left the group in October 2019. The group debuted on May 14, 2015 with their first EP ''Trespass''. In journalism and blogging, a listicle is an article that is structured as a list, which is often fleshed out with additional text relating to each item. The Circle Chart (), previously known as the Gaon Music Chart or the Gaon Chart (), tabulates the relative weekly popularity of songs and albums in South Korea. It is produced by the Korea Music Content Association and sponsored by South Korea's Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism. Founded in 2010. The chart exists since 23 October 2000 and is provided by Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry, ZPAV. The Polish Society of the Phonographic Industry ( pl, Związek Producentów Audio-Video, ZPAV) is the trade organization that represents the interests of the music industry in Poland, and the Polish chapter of the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI). , established in 1999, is the holding company at the head of a Japanese corporate group that supplies statistics and information on music and the music industry in Japan and Western music. Oricon Inc. was originally set up as a subsidiary of Original Confidence and took over the latter's Oricon record charts in April 2002. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. Oricon did not include download sales until its establishment of the Digital Albums Chart on November 19, 2016. In November 2018, Oricon began to include streaming in its album rankings, introducing a combined album chart based on album-equivalent units. Charts are published every Tuesday in Oricon Style and on Oricon's official website. The ''Billboard Japan'' Hot 100 is a record chart in Japan for songs. It has been compiled by ''Billboard Japan'' and '' Hanshin Contents Link'' since February 2008. The chart is updated every Wednesday at Billboard-japan.com ( JST) and every Thursday at Billboard.com ( UTC). The first number-one song on the chart was " Stay Gold" by Hikaru Utada on the issue dated January 16, 2008.
