One Thousand Voices
"One Thousand Voices" is a single by the coaches of the Dutch television programme ''The Voice of Holland''. The song was released on 16 September 2011. The song was written by Tjeerd Oosterhuis, Klaus Derendorf, Hiten Bharadia and Alfred Tuohey and was produced by Oosterhuis and Derendorf. It reached the peak position in both the Dutch Top 40 and the Mega Single Top 100. It also reached the peak position in the 3FM Megatop 50, the iTunes Top 30 and the Download Top 50. The song stayed only for one week at the peak position in all five charts. The first performance of "One Thousand Voices" was at the first episode of the second season of ''The Voice of Holland''. The Voice Of Holland
''The Voice of Holland'', also known as ''TVOH'', is a Dutch reality TV singing competition, that became a near global TV format franchise, created by media tycoon John de Mol and musician Roel van Velzen, in the Netherlands airing on RTL 4. For the first nine seasons, The Voice of Holland was hosted by Martijn Krabbé and Wendy van Dijk. Starting from the tenth season (2019–2020), Wendy van Dijk was replaced by Chantal Janzen. The central focus of the show is the singing talent and quality of the contestants. Three or four coaches / jurors, themselves successful performing artists, train the talents in their teams, and occasionally perform with them. Nick & Simon
Nick & Simon are a Dutch singer-songwriter duo composed of Simon Keizer and Nick Schilder. They became popular in their home country the Netherlands in 2006. Their album ''Luister'' (''Listen'') reached double platinum status in four months. In June 2011 they tried to find "the American Dream" in their own TV documentary show, ''Nick & Simon, The American Dreamteam''. This is a list of the Dutch Top 40 number-one singles of 2011. The Dutch Top 40 is a chart that ranks the best-performing singles of the Netherlands. It is published every week by radio station Radio 538. In 2011, it was the first time that the Dutch Top 40 had 53 releases, because there were 53 Saturdays in 2011. In the past, if there were 53 Saturdays in a year, the Dutch Top 40 was only released 52 times. Simon Nicolaas (Simon) Keizer (Volendam, born 16 May 1984) is a Dutch singer-songwriter. Together with Nick Schilder, he formed a duo called Nick & Simon. Biography Simon wrote his first song in 2000 called ''Still Searching'', which he dedicated to his deceased father. Later, he recorded the song together with his classmate Nick Schilder. Since 2002 he has been making music with Nick and additionally writes songs with or for Jan Smit. Nicolaas Maria "Nick" Schilder (born 6 November 1983) is a Dutch singer-songwriter. Together with Simon Keizer, he forms a duo called Nick & Simon. Biography Career Nick was born in Volendam, into a musical family which has produced other famous artists, such as Anny Schilder. At the age of 8, he started to learn how to play the guitar. He met Simon Keizer at school when they were 17 years old, at which point they began singing and writing songs together. Their first song was 'Do you know what I mean'. On New Year's Eve 2001, Nick was injured during the Volendam New Year's fire disaster. He had to stay in the hospital for 23 days with lung problems. Afterward, to recover the doctors advised him to take singing lessons. Roel van Velzen (; born 20 March 1978), better known as VanVelzen, is a Dutch singer-songwriter. Besides being known for his short stature, he and his band enjoy a huge live reputation; they have played at virtually every festival in the Netherlands, shared the stage with Queen's Brian May, and supported Kelly Clarkson, Bon Jovi and German megastars Reamonn. Marco Borsato
Marco Roberto Borsato (; born 21 December 1966) is a Dutch singer. Born in Alkmaar, North Holland, he started performing in Italian before switching to Dutch in 1994. He has consistently been one of the most successful and biggest grossing artists in the Netherlands and Belgium for the past thirty years.
