One Of Those Things (film)
''One of Those Things'' is a 1971 Danish film. The movie was shot in Denmark in 1969, using British actors and English dialogue in order to make it more appearing to the international market. Its Danish title was Hændeligt uheld. Plot An automobile plant manufacturer, Henrik Vinther, is part of a big business deal with a Japanese company. He is invited to a party by a younger woman, Susanne. Driving home, Henrik hits an elderly man, but drives on. The next day he hears a report that the man has died. Henrik's employers force him to appear on television to discuss a new deal with a Japanese company. He is spotted by Susanne, who blackmails him into giving her a job. Henrik's wife has a drinking problem. In Japan, Henrik and Susanne sleep together. Henrik's wife tells him she is pregnant. Erik Balling
Erik Balling (29 November 1924 – 19 November 2005) was a Danish TV and film director. He created two of Denmark's most popular TV-series, ''Matador'' and '' Huset på Christianshavn''. His feature film '' Qivitoq'' (1956) was nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1957 Cannes Film Festival, and for an Oscar as Best Foreign Language Film. His 1962 film ''Den kære familie'' was entered into the 3rd Moscow International Film Festival. Together with Henning Bahs, he also created the hugely popular series of ''Olsen Gang'' feature films. Biography Balling started working for the largest and oldest Danish film production company, Nordisk Films Kompagni, in 1946. He later became the boss of the company. Anders Bodelsen
Anders Bodelsen (11 February 1937 – 17 October 2021) was a Danish writer primarily associated with the 1960 new-realism wave in Danish literature, along with Christian Kampmann and Henrik Stangerup. Bodelsen preferred the social-realistic style of writing, often thrillers about middle-class people who face the consequences of materialism, which often clashes with their human values. His thrillers also experiment with ordinary persons tempted by e.g. theft and border-morale issues. Most known is Bodelsen's novel ''Think of a Number'' (''Tænk på et tal'', 1968) filmed as ''The Silent Partner'' in 1978. Also widely known is his cooperation with Danish National Television (Danmarks Radio) on the filming of some of his children's thrillers, e.g. '' Guldregn'' ("Golden Rain", 1986). Roy Dotrice (26 May 1923 – 16 October 2017) was a British actor famed for his portrayal of the antiquarian John Aubrey in the record-breaking solo play ''Brief Lives''. Zena Cecilia Walker (7 March 1934 – 24 August 2003) was an English actress in film, theatre and television. Biography Walker was born in the Selly Oak district of Birmingham, the daughter of George Walker, a grocer, and his wife Elizabeth Louise (''née'' Hammond).
