One To One Computing (education)
In the context of education, one-to-one computing (sometimes abbreviated as "1:1") refers to academic institutions, such as schools or colleges, that allow each enrolled student to use an electronic device in order to access the Internet, digital course materials, and digital textbooks. The concept has been actively explored and sporadically implemented since the late 1990s. One-to-one computing used to be contrasted with a policy of "bring your own device" (BYOD), which encourages or requires students to use their own laptops, smartphones or other electronic devices in class. The distinction between BYOD and school-issued devices became blurred when many schools started recommending devices for parents to buy (examples for both iPads and Chromebooks being used 1:1 in schools, but being paid for by parents exist, there may be similar evidence for other devices). The term 1:1 computing in education is now redefined to a situation where students have access to a device per individual ...

One-to-one Correspondence
In mathematics, a bijection, also known as a bijective function, one-to-one correspondence, or invertible function, is a function between the elements of two sets, where each element of one set is paired with exactly one element of the other set, and each element of the other set is paired with exactly one element of the first set. There are no unpaired elements. In mathematical terms, a bijective function is a one-to-one (injective) and onto (surjective) mapping of a set ''X'' to a set ''Y''. The term ''one-to-one correspondence'' must not be confused with ''one-to-one function'' (an injective function; see figures). A bijection from the set ''X'' to the set ''Y'' has an inverse function from ''Y'' to ''X''. If ''X'' and ''Y'' are finite sets, then the existence of a bijection means they have the same number of elements. For infinite sets, the picture is more complicated, leading to the concept of cardinal number—a way to distinguish the various sizes of infinite sets. ...

One-to-one Function
In mathematics, an injective function (also known as injection, or one-to-one function) is a function that maps distinct elements of its domain to distinct elements; that is, implies . (Equivalently, implies in the equivalent contrapositive statement.) In other words, every element of the function's codomain is the image of one element of its domain. The term must not be confused with that refers to bijective functions, which are functions such that each element in the codomain is an image of exactly one element in the domain. A homomorphism between algebraic structures is a function that is compatible with the operations of the structures. For all common algebraic structures, and, in particular for vector spaces, an is also called a . However, in the more general context of category theory, the definition of a monomorphism differs from that of an injective homomorphism. This is thus a theorem that they are equivalent for algebraic structures; see for more details. A ...

One-to-one Marketing
Personalized marketing, also known as one-to-one marketing or individual marketing, is a marketing strategy by which companies leverage data analysis and digital technology to deliver individualized messages and product offerings to current or prospective customers. Advancements in data collection methods, analytics, digital electronics, and digital economics, have enabled marketers to deploy more effective real-time and prolonged customer experience personalization tactics. Beginning in the early 1990s, web developers began tracking HTML calls that their websites were receiving from online visitors. In 2012, the Web Analytics Association (WAA) officially changed its name to the Digital Analytics Association (DAA) in order to accommodate new and developing data streams that exist in addition to the web. Technology Personalized marketing is dependent on many different types of technology for data collection, data classification, data analysis, data transfer, and data scalabili ...

One-to-one (data Model)
In systems analysis, a one-to-one relationship is a type of cardinality that refers to the relationship between two entities (see also entity–relationship model) A and B in which one element of A may only be linked to one element of B, and vice versa. In mathematical terms, there exists a bijective function from A to B. For instance, think of A as the set of all human beings, and B as the set of all their brains. Any person from A can and must have only one brain from B, and any human brain in B can and must belong to only one person that is contained in A. In a relational database, a one-to-one relationship exists when one row in a table may be linked with only one row in another table and vice versa. It is important to note that a one-to-one relationship is not a property of the data, but rather of the relationship itself. A list of mothers and their children may happen to describe mothers with only one child, in which case one row of the mothers table will refer to only one ro ...

One To One (Apple)
One to One was a fee-based service for private training at Apple Inc. retail stores. A US$99 one year membership with purchase of a new Mac allows the user to receive a year's worth of Mac, iPhone, iPod, and iPad instruction. The only restriction is that users can only book one each of the three types of sessions that are included with the One to One program at a time. The three session types are a 30 or 60-minute Personal Training session, where the individual is taught by an Apple employee, a 90-minute Group Training where an Apple employee leads a group of people on a particular topic, and a 90-minute Open Training session where the customer is able to work on their own project in a group and ask for assistance as needed. The sessions offer instruction in the following topics: Getting Started on Your Mac, Getting Started on Your iPad, Getting Started on Your iPhone, iCloud, Mail Contacts & Calendars, iPhoto, GarageBand, iMovie, iTunes, Pages, Keynote, Numbers, Aperture, Final Cut ...

One To One (band)
One to One was a Canadian pop music group formed in 1984 in Ottawa, Ontario. They later changed their name to One 2 One. The duo released three albums and produced ten hits on Canadian charts between 1985 and 1992. Biography Consisting of vocalist Louise Reny and producer Leslie Howe, One to One evolved out of an Ottawa Valley band called Mainstream, which had toured the local circuit in the late '70s and early '80s performing cover songs. In 1983, Reny and Howe decided to strike out on their own, and after recording a few demos, they signed a two-album deal with Bonaire Records, and flew to West Germany to record. The dance-fueled debut ''Forward Your Emotions'' was released in 1985 and became a smash hit across Canada. The singles "There Was a Time" and "Angel in My Pocket" charted on the Canadian Top 40, and the latter also became a minor hit on the American ''Billboard'' Hot 100 charts, reaching #92. A third single, "Black on White", only reached #90 on the Canadian music ...

One To One (Howard Jones Album)
''One to One'' is the third album by British pop singer Howard Jones. It was released in October 1986. The album contains the singles " You Know I Love You... Don't You?" (US top twenty), " All I Want" (top 40 in many European countries) and " Little Bit of Snow" (top 75 in the UK). The CD release also contains the single version of "No One Is to Blame", a song included in its original form on Jones's previous album, ''Dream into Action'', which had been re-recorded and released as a single earlier in 1986. This version features Phil Collins on drums and backing vocals. ''One to One'' reached number 10 in the UK Albums Chart. Critical reception ''The Rolling Stone Album Guide'' wrote that "Jones's songs take on a reflective cast, which neither helps their melodies nor enhances his singing." ''Trouser Press'' wrote that "the once-colorful elf has become part of a mainstream adult pop enterprise." Track listing All tracks written by Howard Jones. Personnel * Afrodiziak (Car ...

Many-to-many
Many-to-many communication occurs when information is shared between groups. Members of a group receive information from multiple senders. Wikis are a type of many-to-many communication, where multiple editors collaborate to create content that is disseminated among a wide audience. Video conferencing, online gaming, chat rooms, and internet forums are also types of many-to-many communication.
