Onbadhu Roobai Nottu
''Onbadhu Roobai Nottu'' () is a 2007 Tamil-language drama film directed by Thangar Bachan, based on Bachan's own same-titled novel. It depicts the tragic life and fall of Madhava Padayachi, a simple villager, played by Sathyaraj, and his family. Also starring Archana, Nassar and Rohini in supporting roles, the film was released on 30 November 2007 to high critical acclaim and was praised as one of the best movies in Tamil cinema. Plot A seventy-year-old man, Madhava Padayachi, meets his old friend's 23-year-old son Murugan in Chennai, who was leaving for their native village for his father's death day rites. Thangar Bachan
Thangar Bachan (born 1961) is an Indian film director and actor, cinematographer and novelist. He has served as jury member in National Film Awards. Early life Thankar Bachan was born in Pathirakottai, a village near Panruti, Cuddalore district, Tamil Nadu. Career Bachan started his career as a cinematographer in debut film ''Malai Charal''. He was known for his work in ''Mogamul'', '' Bharathi'' and ''Kadhal Kottai''. He made his directorial debut in '' Azhagi''. Apart from films he occasionally contribute on literary works. Vairamuthu Ramasamy (born 13 July 1953) is an Indian lyricist, poet, and novelist working in the Tamil film industry. He is a prominent figure in the Tamil literary world. A master's graduate from the Pachaiyappa's College in Chennai, he first worked as a translator, while also being a published poet.
