''On Line Opinion'', or ''Online Opinion'', is an open access electronic journal, specialising in social and political debate. The journal is published in Australia, although content is not necessarily limited to Australian issues, and extends at times to publication in wider areas, such as, religion, ethics, and philosophy. Owner and publisher ''On Line Opinion'' is owned and published by Brisbane based conservative political 'think tank' the Australian Institute for Progress Ltd (AIP). The AIP receives funding from property developers, and according to the Executive Director, it is 'ideologically centre-right', with its criticisms favouring right-wing political parties. Prior to 2014 the AIP was called The National Forum. Inside Story (Australian TV Program)
''Inside Story'' was an Australian current affairs television program airing weekly on the Nine Network. The program is hosted by Leila McKinnon and commenced on 26 February 2014. It screens Wednesday evenings normally at 8.45pm (Series 1) and Thursdays at 8:40 (Series 2) and 7:30 (Series 3). The series investigates major crimes and related stories in Australia and elsewhere with a view to unveiling previously unreported/under-reported stories. Open access (OA) is a set of principles and a range of practices through which research outputs are distributed online, free of access charges or other barriers. With open access strictly defined (according to the 2001 definition), or libre open access, barriers to copying or reuse are also reduced or removed by applying an open license for copyright. The main focus of the open access movement is "peer reviewed research literature". Historically, this has centered mainly on print-based academic journals. newmatilda.com, commonly known as New Matilda, is a left-wing independent Australian website of news, analysis and satire. History The website was established by John Menadue in August 2004. Its founding editor was Natasha Cica. The website is now registered in the name of Cordell Media Pty Ltd. In May 2007, the policy section of newmatilda.com separated to become the Centre for Policy Development, a left-wing think tank. On 27 May 2010, editor Marni Cordell announced that the publication would cease on 25 June, due to financial support drying up.
