On Fire (Blue Zone Song)
"On Fire" is a song recorded by Lisa Stansfield's band, Blue Zone for their 1988 album, '' Big Thing''. It was written by Stansfield, Ian Devaney and Andy Morris, and produced by Paul Staveley O'Duffy (known for his work with Swing Out Sister, Curiosity Killed the Cat and Was (Not Was)) and Blue Zone. "On Fire" was released as the first European and Australian single on 26 October 1987. It included a non-album track, "Be the Sugar" written and produced by Blue Zone. "On Fire" was remixed by François Kevorkian and Michael Hutchinson. The music video was also released. Shortly after the release of the single, the King's Cross fire broke out on 18 November 1987 at King's Cross St Pancras tube station. The fire killed thirty-one people and hundred were taken to hospital, nineteen with serious injuries. Better The Devil You Know (album)
''Better the Devil You Know'' is the third album by British pop star Sonia. It was released on the back of her entry into the 1993 Eurovision Song Contest with the title track. Overview Released in May 1993, the album followed Sonia's appearance in the Eurovision Song Contest. The previous year, Sonia had been selected to be the UK representative and she performed all eight songs in the Song for Europe. The 1992 participant Michael Ball had enjoyed great success with his album based on the contest when it reached No.1 in the charts, and Sonia's management were keen to see similar results. "Better the Devil You Know" featured four songs from the contest (the top four placed songs: "A Little Love", "Our World", "So Much of Your Love" and the winner "Better the Devil You Know"). ZTT Records is a British record label founded in 1983 by record producer Trevor Horn, Horn's wife and businesswoman Jill Sinclair, and ''New Musical Express'' (NME) journalist Paul Morley. King's Cross St Pancras (also known as King's Cross & St Pancras International) is a London Underground station on Euston Road in the Borough of Camden, Central London. It serves King's Cross and main line stations in fare zone 1, and is an interchange between six Underground lines. The station was one of the first to open on the network. The King's Cross fire was a 1987 fire in a London Underground station with 31 fatalities, after a fire under a wooden escalator suddenly spread into the underground ticket hall in a flashover. The fire began at approximately 19:30 on 18 November 1987 at King's Cross St Pancras tube station, a major interchange on the London Underground. As well as the mainline railway stations above ground and subsurface platforms for the Metropolitan, Circle and Hammersmith & City lines, there were platforms deeper underground for the Northern, Piccadilly, and Victoria lines.
