Omani Cricket Team In The United Arab Emirates In 2016–17
The Oman cricket team toured the United Arab Emirates to play the United Arab Emirates cricket team in October 2016. The tour consisted of three List A cricket matches. Former England cricketer Owais Shah was the coaching consultant for the UAE during the tournament, and was given a three-month contract following the conclusion of the fixtures. The United Arab Emirates won the 3-match series 2–1. The ICC Academy (ICCA) is a cricket academy located in Dubai Sports City, Dubai, United Arab Emirates, that is managed and administered by the International Cricket Council. It was opened in 2009 under Rod Marsh, who was appointed as Director. History ICCA's facilities includes two ovals, each with ten turf pitches, outdoor turf and synthetic practice facilities, indoor practice facilities including Hawk Eye technology and a cricket-specific gymnasium. Jatinder Singh (born 5 March 1989) is an Indian-born cricketer who plays for the Oman national cricket team. He made his debut for the Omani national side at the 2011 World Cricket League Division Three tournament. He is a right-handed top-order batsman.
