Omaha Country Club is a private country club in Omaha, Nebraska, located in the northern area of the city. Established in 1899 in the Country Club Historic District, it selected its present site in 1925. The golf course opened in 1927 and was renovated in 1951 by Perry Maxwell. 2013 Champions Tour
The 2013 Champions Tour was the 34th season for the golf tour now known as PGA Tour Champions since it officially began in 1980 as the Senior PGA Tour. The season consisted of 26 official money events with purses totaling $50,750,000, including five majors. Bernhard Langer topped the end-of-season money list, winning $2,448,428. This was his second straight money title and fifth overall. Kenny Perry won the most tournaments, three. Perry Maxwell
Perry Duke Maxwell (June 13, 1879 – November 15, 1952) was an American golf course architect. He was a founding member of the American Society of Golf Course Architects and was an inductee into the Oklahoma Sports Hall of Fame in 2012. He was known as the "father of Oklahoma golf". Early life Perry Duke Maxwell was born on June 13, 1879 in Princeton, Kentucky, to parents of Scottish descent. Maxwell was the son of Dr. James A. Maxwell (born 1847) and Caroline H. "Carrie" Harris (born 1851). He and his wife Ray had four children, daughters Elizabeth, Mary and Dora and son James Press Maxwell.He moved to Ardmore, Oklahoma, in 1897 after two forays at college where he studied classical literature. Country Club Historic District (Omaha, Nebraska)
The Country Club Historic District is located in Omaha, Nebraska from 50th to 56th Streets and from Corby to Seward Streets. It includes dozens of homes built between 1925 and 1949 in the late 19th and 20th Century Revival styles. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. According to the district's National Register of Historic Places nomination, "the Country Club Historic District is significant as an early 20th century Omaha subdivision that was planned and marketed to attract homebuyers who expected an exceptionally high level of quality and consistency in neighborhood layout, amenities, home design, and environment. James Kenneth Perry (born August 10, 1960) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He won 14 PGA Tour events and has won nine PGA Tour Champions events including four senior major championships: the 2013 Constellation Senior Players Championship, the 2013 U.S. Senior Open, the 2014 Regions Tradition, and the 2017 U.S. Senior Open.
