2013 Champions Tour
The 2013 Champions Tour was the 34th season for the golf tour now known as PGA Tour Champions since it officially began in 1980 as the Senior PGA Tour. The season consisted of 26 official money events with purses totaling $50,750,000, including five majors. Bernhard Langer topped the end-of-season money list, winning $2,448,428. This was his second straight money title and fifth overall. Kenny Perry won the most tournaments, three. Fred Couples led the tour in scoring average for the second straight year and third time overall. The tournament results, leaders, and award winners are listed below. Kenny Perry
James Kenneth Perry (born August 10, 1960) is an American professional golfer who currently plays on the PGA Tour Champions. He won 14 PGA Tour events and has won nine PGA Tour Champions events including four senior major championships: the 2013 Constellation Senior Players Championship, the 2013 U.S. Senior Open, the 2014 Regions Tradition, and the 2017 U.S. Senior Open. Early years Perry was born in Elizabethtown, Kentucky, and raised in Franklin, Kentucky. His parents are Ken and Mildred Perry. He was introduced to the game of golf by his father at the age of seven. He started his high school golf career at Franklin-Simpson High School. Senior PGA Championship
The Senior PGA Championship, established in 1937, is the oldest of the five major championships in men's senior golf. It is administered by the Professional Golfers' Association of America and is recognized as a major championship by both PGA Tour Champions and the European Senior Tour. It was formerly an unofficial money event on the European Senior Tour, but since 2007 has been an official money event. Winners gain entry into the next PGA Championship. The winners prior to 1980, the first season of the senior tour, are not considered major champions of this event by the PGA Tour Champions. Esteban Toledo
Esteban Toledo (born 10 September 1962) is a Mexican professional golfer, who was a member of the PGA Tour in 1994 and 1998–2004 and has also spent many years playing on the second tier Nationwide Tour (now known as Korn Ferry Tour). At present, he competes on the PGA Tour Champions. Toledo was born in Mexicali, Mexico. Before taking up professional golf, Toledo was a boxer. His sole victory on the Nationwide Tour came at the 2005 Lake Erie Charity Classic at Peek 'n Peak Resort. He also won the 2000 Mexican Open. He represented Mexico in the World Cup in 1992, 1994, 1995, 1998, 2002 and 2006. In May 2013, Toledo became the first Mexican to win on the Champions Tour, winning the Insperity Championship in a playoff. Insperity Championship
The Insperity Invitational is a professional golf tournament in Texas on the PGA Tour Champions. It debuted in 2004 as the Administaff Small Business Classic, and is played in suburban Houston. The first four editions were at Augusta Pines Golf Club in Spring, then it was moved to The Woodlands Country Club in The Woodlands in 2008, the former home of the Houston Open on the PGA Tour. Jeffrey George Sluman (born September 11, 1957) is an American professional golfer who has won numerous professional golf tournaments including six PGA Tour victories. Early years Sluman was born and reared in Rochester, New York. After graduating from Greece Arcadia High School in 1975 and Monroe Community College in 1977, he attended Florida State University in Tallahassee, Florida. Bradford John Faxon Jr. (born August 1, 1961) is an American professional golfer. He has won eight times on the PGA Tour. Early years and amateur career Faxon was born in Oceanport, New Jersey and raised in Barrington, Rhode Island. He attended Furman University, and earned a Bachelor of Economics degree in 1983. Michael Louis Allen (born January 31, 1959) is an American professional golfer, currently on the PGA Tour Champions. Early life and amateur career Allen was born in San Mateo, California and played college golf at the University of Nevada in Reno. Professional career Allen turned professional in 1984 and played on the European Tour 1986-89 and 1992, winning the 1989 Scottish Open. Allen played on the PGA Tour 1990-95, 2002, and 2004-09.
