Ejnar Mindedal Rasmussen
Ejnar Mindedal, born ''Mindedal Rasmussen'' (19 June 1892 – 23 December 1975) was a Danish Neoclassical architect. He was a traditionalist who adhered to the Danish '' :da:Bedre Byggeskik'' movement which emphasized traditional Danish construction practices. However he did not shy from using modern materials like concrete in, for example, his breakthrough work 'Swimming Pool in Ollerup, for which he won a Silver Medal in the Architectural Design discipline at the 1928 Summer Olympics in Amsterdam. Education Ejnar Mindedal was born in Ollerup, Funen, Denmark. He was the son of the Daniel Rasmussen (1865-1955) and his wife Thyra F. Sørensen (1862-1949). Nanna Kristensen-Randers
Nanna Kristensen-Randers née Berg (1864–1908) was a Danish lawyer and folk high school administrator. In 1887, she became the first Danish woman to receive a law diploma. From 1894, she assisted her husband, J.P. Kristensen-Randers, in running Ollerup Højskole on the island of Funen. Early life and education Born on 3 November 1864 on the island of Bogø, Nanna Berg was the daughter of the politician Chresten Poulsen Berg (1829–91) and the publisher Maren Bertelsen (1836–1906). She was brought up in a Grundtvegian milieu, her father being the founder of Bogø's Navigation School. In 1876, she moved with her family to Hillerød where he mother looked after her while her father became involved in publishing and politics. Niels Bukh
Niels Ebbesen Mortensen Bukh (15 June 1880 – 7 July 1950) was a Danish gymnast and educator who founded the first athletic folk high school in Ollerup in Funen, Denmark. He achieved international fame as a gymnastics trainer for the Danish team at the Olympic Games in Stockholm in 1912. He was inspired by the rhythmic female gymnastics of the Finnish gymnastics educator Elli Björkstén(1870–1947) and the medical gymnastics of Kaare Theilmann. Primitive gymnastics Within the tradition of Pehr Henrik Ling, Bukh developed his own primitive gymnastics, aimed at using forceful exercises to prevent stiffness and bad bodily habits. Eigil Knuth
Count Eigil Knuth (8 August 1903 – 12 March 1996) was a Danish explorer, archaeologist, sculptor and writer. He is referred to as the Nestor ("elder statesman") of Danish polar explorers. His archaeological investigations were made in Peary Land and adjacent areas of High Arctic Greenland. Knuth was made a Knight of the Dannebrog. The five Regions of Denmark ( da, regioner) were created as administrative entities at a level above the municipalities and below the central government in the public sector as part of the 2007 Danish Municipal Reform, when the 13 counties ('' amter'') were abolished. At the same time, the number of municipalities ('' kommuner'') was cut from 270 to 98. The reform was approved and made into a law by the lawmakers in the Folketing 26 June 2005 with elections to the 98 municipalities and 5 regions being held Tuesday 15 November 2005.
