Carlos Alexandre Rodrigues do Nascimento (born April 18, 1983), commonly known as Carlos Olivinha, or simply Olivinha, is a Brazilian professional basketball player that currently plays for Flamengo of Novo Basquete Brasil. At 6'8" (2.03 m), he can play at either the small forward or power forward positions, with power forward being his main position. He was born in Rio de Janeiro. Professional career In the Brazilian League's 2009–10 regular season, Olivinha averaged 20.8 points and 10.4 rebounds per game. National team career Olivinha has also been a member of the senior men's Brazilian national basketball team. He made his debut with the senior team at the 2009 Marchand Continental Championship Cup, averaging 3.3 points and 1.3 rebounds per game for the team. The Flamengo Basketball team is a professional Brazilian basketball team based in Rio de Janeiro. It is a part of the Clube de Regatas do Flamengo multi-sports sports club, club family. 2012–13 NBB Season
The 2012–13 NBB season was the fifth edition of Novo Basquete Brasil, the Brazilian basketball league. This tournament is organized entirely by the Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB). The NBB serves as a qualifying competition for international tournaments such as Liga Sudamericana and Torneo InterLigas. For this season the qualify for the FIBA Americas League came to be through the Liga Sudamericana. This season has a record number of participating teams, with eighteen teams playing each other in round and second round in the regular season. The NBB All-Star Game is an annual game involving the All-Star players of each season of the Novo Basquete Brasil (New Basketball Brazil), which is the top-tier level Brazilian professional club basketball league. The players are chosen by votes on the Internet, and are then divided into two teams. The criterion for the selection of the teams has varied during the years. In the first edition of the NBB All-Star Game, the teams were divided into team Ubiratan, with light jerseys, and formed by the best players of each position; and team Rosa Branca, with dark jerseys, and formed by the second top players in each position. The 2018–19 Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) season is the 11th season of this top-tier level Brazilian professional basketball league. This tournament is organized by the Liga Nacional de Basquete (LNB). 2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup
The 2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup was the 31st edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The tournament was held in February 2022. The competition was played in the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Cairo, which marks the first time ever the Intercontinental Cup is played in Africa. FIBA Americas Championship 2009
The 2009 FIBA Americas Championship, later known as the FIBA AmeriCup, was the continental championship held by FIBA Americas, for North, Central and South America and the Caribbean. This FIBA AmeriCup championship served as a qualifying tournament for the 2010 FIBA World Championship in Turkey. Each of the top four finishers in the quarterfinal round robin qualified for the World Championship. Brazil won the gold medal, after beating host Puerto Rico, 61–60, in the title game. This was Brazil's fourth FIBA AmeriCup title, and second in the last three tournaments. At the time FIBA world number 1 ranked Argentina claimed the bronze medal, over fourth placed Canada.
