2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup
The 2022 FIBA Intercontinental Cup was the 31st edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. The tournament was held in February 2022. The competition was played in the Hassan Moustafa Sports Hall in Cairo, which marks the first time ever the Intercontinental Cup is played in Africa. Teams In September 2021, the Egyptian Basketball Federation announced that Zamalek, defending BAL champions, will play in the FIBA Intercontinental Cup. This will be the first time an African team will play in the competition. On 19 November 2021, FIBA officially announced the four competing teams. Draw The draw was held on 15 January in Cairo. The FIBA Intercontinental Cup, also commonly referred to as the FIBA World Cup for Champion Clubs, or the FIBA Club World Cup, is a professional basketball clubs competition that is endorsed by FIBA and the NBA. The 2014 FIBA Intercontinental Cup was the 24th edition of the FIBA Intercontinental Cup for men's professional basketball clubs and the 23rd edition of the tournament being in the form of a true intercontinental tournament for clubs. Landry Chirst Nnoko (born April 9, 1994) is a Cameroonian professional basketball player for Suwon KT Sonicboom of the Korean Basketball League.
