Hibernatus
''Hibernatus'' is a 1969 French-Italian comedy directed by Édouard Molinaro and written by Jean Bernard-Luc. It stars Louis de Funès as an industrialist named Hubert Barrère de Tartas. Plot A man frozen for 65 years is found in the ice of the North Pole by a scientific polar expedition. While he is brought back to life by professor Edouard Lauriebat (Michael Lonsdale), the man is identified as Paul Fournier, who was exploring the pole in 1905 and is now, thanks to hibernation, a ninety-year-old young man. Edmée de Tartas (Claude Gensac), born Fournier, is identified as the granddaughter of Paul and convinces her husband, Hubert Barrère de Tartas (Louis de Funès), that Paul must be given back to his family, while the government wishes to treat Paul as a research subject. ''Perched on a Tree'' (French title: ''Sur un arbre perché'') is a 1971 French language, French comedy film, directed by Serge Korber, written by Pierre Roustang, and starring Louis de Funès. Plot Henri Roubier (Louis de Funès), a highway industrialist, is returning from Italy when he picks up, against his will, a hitchhiker (Olivier de Funès) and a young lady (Geraldine Chaplin) whose engine broke down. Against his will, Roubier is forced by the hitchhiker to drop both of them off at Cassis. During the night, Roubier is exhausted by his two talkative passengers, and misses a right turn, and is precipitated in the void after the woman's dog landed on the accelerator. The next morning, the three of them wake up to find themselves on a tree, perched right on the side of a cliff, near the sea. Serge Korber (1 February 1936 – 23 January 2022) was a French film director and screenwriter. He directed more than 40 films between 1962 and 2007. Successful as the director of comedies starring Louis de Funès in ''L'homme orchestre'' and '' Perched on a Tree'' (co-starring Geraldine Chaplin), he earned acclaim with his tragical drama '' Hearth Fires'' starring Annie Girardot and Claude Jade as mother and daughter. L'Homme Orchestre
''L'homme orchestre'' () is a comedy film from 1970 directed by Serge Korber, written by Jean Halain, and starring by Louis de Funès. It tells the story of Evan Evans, who owns and manages a ballet company in the Principality of Monaco with an iron fist. Summary The film opens in the contemporary dance company of Evan Evans (Louis de Funès). To him, weight gain and personal lives are forbidden; the dancers must dedicate themselves body and soul to the dance. One of the dancers decides to leave the troupe to get married, so Evans enlists the help of his nephew Philippe, (Olivier de Funès), and his assistant Françoise ( Noëlle Adam) to conduct auditions and to find a new star. Édouard Molinaro
Édouard Molinaro (13 May 1928 – 7 December 2013) was a French film director and screenwriter. Biography He was born in Bordeaux, Gironde. He is best known for his comedies with Louis de Funès (''Oscar'', ''Hibernatus''), '' My Uncle Benjamin'' (with Jacques Brel and Claude Jade), ''Dracula and Son'' (with Christopher Lee), and the Academy Award-nominated '' La Cage aux Folles'' (with Michel Serrault and Ugo Tognazzi). Molinaro was active as a director until a few years before his death, although after 1985 he had almost exclusively been producing works for television. In 1996, his cinematic work was awarded the René Clair Award, a prize given by the Académie française for excellent film work. Molinaro died of a respiratory insufficiency in 2013. He was 85. He made his film debut as a director in 1960. He directed more than thirty films between 1960 and 1982. In 1982, he died of tuberculosis at the age of 58.
