Oliver Freelove
Oliver Freelove (born 5 March 1977) is a British former professional tennis player. Biography Freelove played collegiate tennis in the United States for the University of Illinois. He earned All-American honours in the 1998/99 season. On the professional tour he was more successful as a doubles player, but featured in the singles at the 2000 Brighton International and won the first set of his opening round match against Diego Nargiso, before losing in three. All of his Wimbledon main draw appearances came in doubles. He competed in the men's doubles with James Davidson in 2000 and then again in 2001 partnering Kyle Spencer, losing both first round matches in four sets. At the 2003 Wimbledon Championships he played with Helen Crook in the mixed doubles draw. 2000 Wimbledon Championships – Men's Doubles
Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde defeated Paul Haarhuis and Sandon Stolle in the final, 6–3, 6–4, 6–1, to win the gentlemen's doubles title at the 2000 Wimbledon Championships. It was their sixth Wimbledon title and eleventh and last major title overall, though Woodbridge would go on to win the title a further three times partnering Jonas Björkman. Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes were the defending champions, but Paes did not compete. Bhupathi partnered with David Prinosil but lost in the third round to Roger Federer and Andrew Kratzmann. This marked Haarhuis' fourth consecutive final with the third partner change in a row. Kyle Spencer (born 26 January 1976) is a former tennis player from the United Kingdom. Spencer represented the United Kingdom in the men's doubles competition at the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney, partnering Barry Cowan. The pair was eliminated in the first round. Spencer's highest ranking in singles was World No. 953, which he reached on 21 September 1998. His highest doubles ranking was World No. 126, which he reached on 17 July 2000. Biography Before turning professional, Crook attended college in the United States, as a journalism student at the University of South Carolina. James Davidson (born 16 September 1973) is a British former professional tennis player. Biography Davidson played in the doubles main draws of two ATP Tour tournaments, the 1999 Bournemouth International and 2000 Brighton International.
