James Davidson (tennis)
James Davidson (born 16 September 1973) is a British former professional tennis player. Biography Davidson played in the doubles main draws of two ATP Tour tournaments, the 1999 Bournemouth International and 2000 Brighton International. At the age of 26 he made his first main draw at Wimbledon in 2000, as a wildcard pairing with Oliver Freelove. They were beaten in their first round match in four sets by Paul Kilderry and Alberto Martín. He partnered with Victoria Davies at the 2001 Wimbledon Championships. The wildcard pair won a long second set tiebreak 10–8 but went down in the third, to Julien Boutter and Nathalie Dechy. 2000 Wimbledon Championships – Men's Doubles
Todd Woodbridge and Mark Woodforde defeated Paul Haarhuis and Sandon Stolle in the final, 6–3, 6–4, 6–1, to win the gentlemen's doubles title at the 2000 Wimbledon Championships. It was their sixth Wimbledon title and eleventh and last major title overall, though Woodbridge would go on to win the title a further three times partnering Jonas Björkman. Mahesh Bhupathi and Leander Paes were the defending champions, but Paes did not compete. Bhupathi partnered with David Prinosil but lost in the third round to Roger Federer and Andrew Kratzmann. This marked Haarhuis' fourth consecutive final with the third partner change in a row. Julien Boutter (born 5 April 1974) is a former professional male tennis player from France. Career At the 2002 Australian Open, Boutter defeated No. 2 seed and former World No. 1 Gustavo Kuerten, despite being down two sets, 3–6, 4–6, 7–5, 6–3, 6–3. In his career, he won one singles title (2003 Casablanca) and reached the final in Milan (2001) but lost to Swiss Roger Federer. He reached two Master Series quarterfinals at Hamburg in 2002 and Monte Carlo in 2003. Aljaž Bedene (born 18 July 1989) is a Slovenian former professional tennis player. He was a naturalised Briton and played with this nationality from 2015 to 2017, returning to represent Slovenia in 2018. Bedene has won six Futures and 16 Challenger singles titles.
