Giovanni Pietro Olina
Giovanni Pietro Olina (1585 - circa 1645) was an Italian naturalist, lawyer, and theologian who is best known for his writings on the capture and maintenance of songbirds in the rare work ''Uccelliera, overo, Discorso della natura, e proprieta di diversi uccelli'' (1622) which was written (or ghost-written) at the behest of and with the support of Cassiano dal Pozzo who worked under Pope Urbano VIII. Very little is known of the life of Olina. He took a keen interest in hunting and graduated from Siena in letters, theology and philosophy. He served in the court of Cassiano dal Pozzo in Rome before moving to Novara where he served as canon at the cathedral. He is thought to have died in January 1645. Cassiano and his younger brother Carlo Antonio were collectors of objects of natural history. Olina Storsand
Olina Storsand (17 July 1922 – 18 December 2021) was a Norwegian politician for the Centre Party. Storsand was born in Hemne. Storsand served as a deputy representative to the Parliament of Norway from Sør-Trøndelag in the terms 1965–1969, 1969–1973 and 1973–1977. During the second term she was brought in as a replacement representative for Einar Hole Moxnes, while Moxnes was appointed to the Cabinet. Storsand sat as a regular representative until March 1971, when the cabinet of which Hole Moxnes was a part was dissolved, allowing him to return to his Parliament seat. On the local level Storsand was elected to Trondheim city council between 1967 and 1983, serving as deputy mayor during the term 1975–1979. From 1981 to 1989 she was a member of the Arts Council Norway. Ruth Olina Lødemel (born 18 May 1966 in Volda, Norway) is a Norwegian soprano, dancer, actor and composer. Career After finishing her Examen artium at "Atlanten videregående skole" (1983–86), Lødemel has studied singing and vocal pedagogy. She is a graduate of Norwegian Academy of Music (1986) and Barratt Due Institute of Music (1991), and is in 2013 working on her master's degree in vocals at Høgskulen i Volda. Recently in 2013, Lødemel has traveled around with the play "Ervingen" in connection with "Språkåret", a musical play where Lødemel performs her own music together with the guitarist Øystein Dahle Egset. Steinunn Ólína Þorsteinsdóttir (born 2 July 1969) is an Icelandic actress, TV show host, producer and writer. Biography Early life Ólína grew up in Reykjavík with her mother, actress Bríet Héðinsdóttir, and her father Þorsteinn Þorsteinsson, a writer and translator of dramatic literature. Ólína Guðbjörg Viðarsdóttir (born 16 November 1982) is an Icelandic football defender and a former member of the Icelandic national football team. Club career From 2009 until 2012, Ólína played club football in Sweden for KIF Örebro DFF. She joined Chelsea Ladies of the English FA WSL in January 2013. She returned to Iceland at the start of July and signed for Valur. In November 2014 she signed for Fylkir. In November 2016, Ólína signed with KR. Ólína Kjerúlf Þorvarðardóttir (born 8 September 1958) was a member of the Althing, representing the Social Democratic Alliance for the Northwest Constituency from 2009 to 2016. Life and career Ólína has been an active scholar in social Sciences, a principal of the Junior College of Ísafjörður ( Menntaskólinn á Ísafirði) from 2001 to 2006; and lecturer at the University of Iceland (Folklore, Icelandic literature) from 1992 to 2000.
