Oleksiy Mykolayovych Shevchenko ( ua, Олексій Миколайович Шевченко; born 24 February 1992) is a Ukrainian professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Ukrainian Premier League club Shakhtar Donetsk. Career Shevchenko is product of youth team system FC Inter Dnipropetrovsk. Made his debut for FC Metalurh entering as a full-time playing against Lviv on 13 October 2011 in Ukrainian First League. On 30 August 2013, Oleksiy had signed a 5-year contract with the Ukrainian giants Dynamo Kyiv. On 17 June 2018, Oleksiy had signed a 5-year contract with the Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk. FC Shakhtar Donetsk
Football Club Shakhtar Donetsk ( uk, Футбольний клуб «Шахтар» Донецьк , short nickname "miners") is a Ukrainian professional football club from the city of Donetsk. In 2014, due to the War in Donbass, the club was forced to move to Lviv, and had played matches in Lviv (2014–2016) and in Kharkiv (2017–2020) whilst having its office headquarters and training facilities in Kyiv. In May 2020, Shakhtar started to play home matches at NSC Olimpiyskiy in Kyiv. Shakhtar has appeared in several European competitions and is often a participant in the UEFA Champions League. The 2011–12 Ukrainian Second League was the 21st season of 3rd level professional football in Ukraine. There are two groups of competition divided by region. The Ukrainian Cup ( uk, Кубок України) is an association football national knockout cup competition run by the Ukrainian Association of Football. The competition is conducted almost exclusively among professional clubs. Since the 2003–04 season, the Cup winner qualifies to play the Ukrainian Premier League winner for the Ukrainian Super Cup. Current format The format of this competition consists of two stages: a qualification stage with two rounds followed by the main event (four rounds and the final game). The 2018–19 Ukrainian Premier League season was the 28th top level football club competitions since the fall of the Soviet Union and the eleventh since the establishment of the Ukrainian Premier League.
